The TE may be cleared but he won't be the same guy that torched us last year. Cam won't be back until game 3.
Why did we let him leave our team? I know we had Pitts at the time, but dang it... there is a 12 personnel play set scheme where both of them could have played at the same time. I remember that pass play from Krull to Franks in the LSU game that made the fans go nuts...
Perry made a Gameday appearance to Ole Miss a few years ago and stole the show with a corndog in her hand... making funny reference to LSU fans, obviously.
He was a fun player, but we never really found much of a use for him, save that nifty throwback play we ran twice with him. It's easy to criticize Mullen for that, but we had a lot of playmakers on those 2018 and 2019 teams, and it's kind of hard to say that we should have taken targets away from Jefferson, Hammond, Swain, Grimes, Toney, Perine, Pierce or even Scarlett and given them to Lucas Krull. Would have been nice to have him in 2021, but that's the nature of modern college football -- you don't get to stash all the players it would be nice to have. It's not like there was a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth when Krull transferred out. Credit to him for keeping at it, coming back from a major knee injury and making second-team All-ACC in 2021, though.
He made it to the NFL so his skills (not that you said otherwise) was never in question. The coaches sucked and that's why they never found a place for him.
a lot of recently bias with all these Krull comments. He came to UF during the transition from Mac to Mullen. Maybe he didn’t bond with Mullens coaches or the TE coach. Maybe he didn’t think Mullen would use the TE in a spread offense. Maybe when Pitts came in he saw the light and didn’t think he’d play. he went undrafted. He didn’t make the Saints roster for 2022. Signed to practice squad. Elevated to 1 game and had 11 snaps. In a game with few starters playing in a meaningless preseason game, Krull goes off. Good for him. If I had a nickel for every undrafted nfl player who has a great preseason or great preseason game and never does Jack squat in the nfl I’d have a pocket full of nickels. Two pockets! No one knows why Krull left but I doubt it is because the staff(s) were clueless on the ability of an undrafted college player who may only have a cup of coffee in the nfl. ( Maybe he will have a huge career. Hope he does.).
Lol... thanks for finding that pic. She was pretty funny on the episode of Gameday. eastwest... you know what this means? It means that I still have a damn good memory.
Um...it seems to have pretty good housing policies, but the climate and traffic are terrible, so I don't think I could ever live there?
My wife lived in Houston and in the Nashville area for many years before we met and eventually retired to Pace. She was amazed at how pleasant and relatively comfortable the climate in the panhandle usually is and how miserable Houston and Nashville are in the summer by comparison. There are plenty of fancier, more scenic locations in FL to be sure. But when it comes to sea and sand and balmy weather, the Pensacola area is hard to beat.
