Pay the players a salary with bonuses and incentives. Allow them to make money off their NIL. Give them all the other benefits--room, board and tuition. However, the ones that just want to develop and try and get to the league, classes aren't a requirement to play. I'd imagine there will be small number that will not work towards a degree, but most will get their education. Why pretend like some of these 2 to 3 year mercenary players are students. We don't come to play school.
Not at all, SOS counts, road vs home loss, and timing of loss during the season. Losing late has to matter. This committee BS is garbage. They didnt want uga vs bama semi-final game. They should be using the BCS computer rankings moving forward The historic rout in the anticlimactic final on top of cincy last year should put to rest any argument of 1 vs 2 loss sec
I'm pretty sure they are only revoked if the athlete becomes ineligible. D1 schools have been able to award multi-year scholarships since 2012 I think.
That’s some thinking of where this is really going. All student athletes aren’t created equally. I got erased partly on one of my posts for questioning football players intelligence. Tgat wasn’t my intent. Some are dumb as a box of rocks” Mongo like beans” but he sure can play football and then there the guys that really use their football talent to get a good education. They aren’t all the same. Don’t treat them the same. An education for some guys isn’t really a reward but a burden. There’s no other way to the nfl at the moment, give mingo a break. The school only wants them for what they can do on the gridiron, don’t pretend otherwise. Make solutions that are good for ever involved.
