And that he knows nothing at all about the sudden disappearance of a certain Tater Tot from the world of major CFB... just in case someone asks.
In Anderson’s defense, he scrimmaged Buford last week. Buford is 7A and Jones County is 5A. Buford just shutout the #6 team, 18-0 High School Football Rankings
Sounds par for the course, last season his stats looked terrible. This is his writeup on 247 for last season by Ivins: 2022: Transferred into Jones County for his junior season and led the Greyhounds to the first round of Georgia’s AAAAA playoffs, posting 6-5 record. Completed 56.5 percent of his passes for 1,776 yards with 15 TD and 13 INT to his credit. Also ran for 2 TD. 2021: Played primarily in a Wing T offense at Ridgeland.
It is a great read. He could use an editor, though, or at least some random person to read it before he hits publish. He has the exact same stuff on smearing outgoing players at the beginning and end of the piece.
i'm old so i can't remember anything newer than 5 minutes ago. i remember something about a poster called g-unit who put out the acronym STAB during the coaching search.
I looked it up since you had me questioning myself -- first result was this thread: STAB means... There they say it stood for "Southern Ties Advantage Bo", so close enough I think.
This feels like a much needed catharsis and help explain what we all saw in real time. It was bumfuzzling to watch the team simply disintegrate, after so much potential of the first couple Mullen years. And to know that the players all saw what we saw, and that the cancer had been growing for a while. I’m sad because I really thought Mullen was a good offensive mind and was excited to have him calling X’s and O’s when things were going well, but I am relieved to be rid of him, especially considering (take if the article at face value) what a poor leader he was. Can he go back to being an offensive coordinator elsewhere? He’s a talented dude, just not management material. I also wonder about miss state. We’re these problems present there, but the expectations were so much lower that they were happy to be in contention and occasionally ranked, that he was able to slide with this bulls—t?
Jordan Ross to Tennessee. Briefly put on a Gators hat and said "doesn't fit right". Kind of glad we're not getting this one and I rarely say that about highly ranked recruits we miss on.
I'm not doubting the meaning. I remember it being discussed extensively on these boards and at that time no one knew what it meant, everyone took a 'stab' at the meaning of STAB. I just remember it being initially brought up by that poster, where the poster heard it i don't know.
Yes. Mullen was a hero there. I thought he was a fool to take that job. That he would get chewed up and spit out. I was impressed he succeeded there and thought he was tempered by the fire of the SEC west. And would be ready for the bigger stage. But apparently he just became more set in his lazy ways and more arrogant.
I was on the sidelines for the Buford vs St Francis game. Buford’s defense starts 3 five stars and 3 four stars. Some are juniors. The five stars are KJ Bolden, Edrick Houston and Jayden Perlotte.
