Got to win some big games and show the offense can highlight the receiver position. Should not be an issue with 3 true freshman getting reps!!!

If Watson starts at one of the DT spots, this becomes +10/20 for the Gators! :D

I posted this in my Utah post... He can run and pass okay and he beat Washington State as a stater. He also moved the ball down the field for a TD against USC in the Rose Bowl. He's been there and done that. He has lots of game experience against quality teams.

I forgot about some of the guys who were in Alabama's lineup for that game. Those were two insanely talented teams

I just looked it up because I was thinking the same thing. Ohio State already has a QB commit.

That weight advantage with Watson depends on if he had his morning BM or not..

I'm excited to watch big Dez this season. He showed signs of being pretty good, obviously the coaches need to walk that line of how much time to play him and in situational downs.

Indications are we have much more depth,
up front. This only helps big Dez IMO.

I think most posters here would agree that despite the talk about all phases of the offense, the key side of the ball is defense.

I started really paying attention to UF in the 70s. I honestly cannot remember a 3 year stretch of poorer defense, than the last 3 years. As a fan you get this feeling of helplessness. I love offense, for sure, but UF needs some 3 and outs this season.

Watching our defense struggle to get off the field against Utah was one of the biggest disappointments of the season. Helplessness is a good way to put it. The inability to stop a 3rd down over and over again deflates the home crowd.

It's hard for me to understand how we could have experienced such extremes on both sides of the ball in the past 10 years as our offense was equally hopeless during some of the mac/Champ years. Never forget the feeling that a 10 point deficit seemed insurmountable at times. Just brutal.

Always better to temper expectations but it just seems really hard to do so looking at the talent infusion and scheme change this off-season. Better days ahead hopefully.

Great post! We are due a well balanced team in all phases. I think with enough time, CBN will give us that.

I just hope defensively that we play assignment football. Tired of seeing undisciplined or selfish players. Do your job!
