Lol... I was not really talking about you per se, but I guess that's my fault for not letting you know that I was NOT referring to you specifically.

I think if we take too many seats out it might ruin our stadium and the loudness that makes The Swamp for much fun to watch the game live, and so feared by opposing visitors.

Why mess with perfection in that way.,, and an 8,000 seat reduction could ruin that deafening sound that we all enjoy when we do go to The Swamp.

Lol... I make my fair share of noise for our Gator football team. I sometimes piss-off the old ladies sitting in front of me acting like we're watching a golf tournament. :D

Haha! We are good brother. I know you just razzing.
The Swamp will always be awesome even with 80K screaming fans.

I thought I was going to pass out trying to use the bathroom at halftime of Bama game. It was stifling.

Maybe they can add those linen cloth that they can pull across the middle to give shade. Kind of similar to the gladiator stadium in Rome.

Stadium was considered very loud before the most recent additions when seating was around 80k, a few thousand won't matter. And as has been mentioned, a bunch of those removed will be visitor fans

I hear you buddy, and I’ve done my share of increasing the sound pressure level in that stadium. But you’re ignoring the fact that it’s cramped as hell in there. The only way to add seats would be either cram everybody even closer together (e.g. Michigan, Tennessee) which would be hideous, or build up over the top row (Row 90) which is beyond impractical.

We also don’t have sellouts every game as you claim. The ticket may be sold but there’s no butt in the seat. And all attendance trends are down. I’d rather have a packed 80,000 seat stadium than have 10,000 empty seats in a larger stadium.

I have a few beers before the game, but I can’t bother standing in those lines and missing half the game

It’s pretty packed at every game I come to. I only come to the good games though. If they are concerned about ticket, sales, schedule, better games. The games with the empty seats, the tickets are very cheap and nobody wants them.

I was making a thread on it but decided not to, but maybe it's just me and it's not a lot of teams, just a few....but does there seem to be a SLOOOOW shift back to prioritizing the run game in college football? UGA obviously prioritizes the run over the past, Bama has loaded up at RB and OL the past few cycles, and we've seen with recruiting since Napier has gotten to UF that he's prioritizing loading up on the OL and strengthening the run game. And speaking of that theory that I have.....

The passing and up tempo styles forced defenses to get quicker and by nature smaller at positions to cover. So I believe there is something to teams trying push smaller less physical defenses around. The clock changes could also benefit a team that controls the ball with the run game going forward.
