I stand most of the time but sitting at the swamp is uncomfortable at best. That’s ok for tge cheap seats I guess but the best seats should be better.
There should be more choices for people.. and more accommodations for those willing to pay more than for a cheap seat, I totally agree with you on that point.
Those endzone seats in the shade are sweet but expensive. Some of those between the 20’s would make my day. Maybe some of those fabric looking thinks that make shade would be nice.
Just a brief fact... Right now, all of our aisles at Florida Field are not up to code. They are too narrow and a bunch of seats will need to be removed and (space) will need to be acquired.
Uncomfortable facts: People are bigger these days, fatter taller, wider. Comfort to the degree you can have at a stadium in 90 degree weather is Now more required to compete with 55 inch tvs at home in AC sitting in a recliner. UF had already responded by having buffets in certain areas etc. I predict more sky boxes upgraded concourses etc will happen and seating capacity will be reduced making a ticket Much harder to come by. Add in the student body has changed drastically from what it once was and the passion from that group is pale in comparison.
I think times are changing, and not as many people go to the games as used to. 85,000 plus with more space for luxury boxes will help with $$$.
News flash friend. Even without all the social media they're still listening and watching y'all so what's it truly matter anymore.
Whenever you do a major reno, the entire facility must be brought up to code, including being ADA compliant. I’m excited for future in terms of comfort. Wonder what look they will be going for? A Dolphin stadium type reno? Would be nice if they could build a few more parking garages on campus, both for students and fans on game day
Once the budget is realized likely they will have a "how can we maximize X dollars and what can we do while maintaining what makes the Swamp, The Swamp. I would expect a non structural "semi- major" facelift.
Disagree.. before the stupid covid (plandemic) the we easily sold-OUTS TO OUR GAMES!!!! And that will return again!!!!
Nope.... we will ALWAYS sell-out OUR STADIUM when we have this amount of TALENT!!! If we lose fans... we lose LOUDNESS AND SOUND, and that only happens when we suck... NOT HAPPENING...
Yes... less fat-azz people sucking wind... keeping quite... yes... less is better. Now I know who is fat here.. LMFAO! No offense... but don't kill our stadium because you are FAT!!! Lose weight and be happy...
Our stadium was built in 1930 with a original capacity of 22,000 people , we've managed to expand several times to somehow fit 90,000 people into the same bones the original stadium were built on, that's the epitome of fitting 10 pounds of shit In a 5 pound bucket and you want to fit even more? There's a reason more and more people are staying home to watch the games these days and being uncomfortable in 95° weather in the sun is one of them. I'm sure the powers at be have done their research over the last several years that they've been thinking and planning this. They've got to do something to get people "wanting' to come back not just saying "I've been there before". It's got to be worth it for people to travel to Gainesville with their families and spend that kind of money in order for them to want to do it again. And I highly doubt Rick that you would be able to tell the difference between 80,000 and 90,000 fans by eye while you're sitting in the middle of the crowd. And insulting your fellow gator brethren by calling them "fat asses" just because you like sitting on the lap of the sweaty guy next to you is a pretty lame move my friend.
