    I was born in south Ark and have family throughout the state. The south half of the state including Little Rock is undeniably Southern. North of Little Rock starts to feel like Missouri, whatever that is

    I love the pig calling. Became a Razorback fan when I lived in Houston right out of UF. My buddies and I decided to go watch a Rice football game and it turned out to be against Arkansas. The Razorback fans were nuts and we were leading the wooo pig sooie calls by halftime (yes there was alcohol involved.)

    In 1977 a Lou Holtz coached hogs team pulled a major upset of a highly ranked Oklahoma team in the Orange Bowl — right after Holtz had benched a handful of starters for violating team rules. We were in Dallas for the Cotton Bowl when it happened (Earl Campbell vs. Joe Montana), and we were calling the hogs the whole weekend — in elevators, restaurants, bars, wherever. We even ordered hog hats from Uncle Heavy’s Hog Hats. Good times
