My dad is a UT season ticket holder and we met/talked to Antonio outside Neyland after ducks pulled the trucks. He still talks about what a nice and humble kid he was. It makes me sad to see that he keeps getting himself into some of these situations.
All in all, I don't expect any commits from this weekend except maybe Kris Jones goes ahead and commits.
wow that would suck. So you think we only get Kris jones out of all those recruits or are you saying we will get more of these recruits just not now?
Always seems the case with the early visit weekends in June. Happened under Mullens last year as well. Kinda stinks.
Yea, just not now is what I should have specified. We're sitting good/great with the kids we're bringing in next week as well, just not sure how QUICK they'll jump on board with UF (or any other school). Personally would like to end the month with 4 commits and then hopefully get 2-3 more at FNL next month. Zay Mincey Jarrae Hawkins TJ Moore Kris Jones Daelyn Evans (A&M commit) D'antre Robinson Walter Matthews If we can go into the season with these guys committed, i'd feel very good. Just hope that Sale/Stapleton can pick it up along the OL and get Uini
Just somewhat concerning. We started great but have leveled off at 8 commits. Been stagnet since #8 and we watch as other programs leap ahead of us. Obviously it's early, but it would be great to see UF stay near the top instead of falling down the rankings. Hope this big recruiting weekend sees some breakthroughs the coming days, UF and CBN needs it.
Average star rating and ranking very good. Quality takes time to cultivate. Not in drivers seat in terms of won/loss record or recent championships. Doing well developing relationships and selling future.
I’m hearing there might be two commits from the weekend. They’re all on their way home now. Hoping some will be huddling with their families this afternoon or evening.
all good points and info. Thanks. I think I am just still suffering from PTSD of the June 2021 visits, especially that first weekend. Stories after stories about he we lead for big time players like Walter Nolan and other guys. And yet days and weeks go by and pretty much none of those dudes committed to UF. I cannot remember how last June went so it must not have been a disaster but also not a huge plus. But this weekend is loaded with great visitors like that first weekend in June 2021 so I keep comparing it to that. players leave and after that, seems like we fade into memory with the recency bias of later visits.
Yea I hear you on that. I still have PTSD as well and would love to see some kids pop. That June 2021 still irks me as well, completely dropped the ball (or bag) with that one. Took a look at last year visits in June for OV's, and we had 34 Ov's and 12 of those ended up Gators (don't remember how many committed prior to their OV or soon after) but I just remember it being a bit of a "let down" only cause we missed on our top LB targets
