Interesting. This is definitely the new trend is pro stadium development. The Battery, next to Truist Park in Atlanta is a great concept. That works well for baseball because you have about 80+ home games each year, plus they built it in a decent area of town with a lot of other stuff around it. That concept never would have worked at Turner Field. And it seems to maybe work at big new football stadiums that also host other major events year around. I'm not sure how well that concept translates at a college stadium that has maybe 7 home games and few other events. I guess they'd relay on home basketball games to draw people as well. And they would have to count on student filling bars and restaurants the rest of the year. But is that something they could even build on a land grant college campus?
This is true but again….just log off. Athletes gotta know that crazy stuff is said on the internet, they’re not new to the internet. Just….log off. Nobody is immune to it
They’re out of conference schedule is total garbage and that is by design. It’s not their fault that Auburn and Tennessee are not what we should be. Tennessee you may be the only team that can even give them a semblance of a game this year.
Not to defend uga, but they were supposed to start a home and home with either oklahoma or texas and the sec made them cancel because the return trip would be after they joined the SEC next year. Their schedule would still be pretty bad with them
It was Oklahoma. Scrubbed last minute due to the reasons you stated. This isn’t on UGA. They have been as aggressive as anyone at scheduling ooc games. Just sucks that this year is lined up for them the way that at is. …BUT, they have very little room for error.
It doesn’t really matter. They still play in the sec championship anyway regardless of their record unless Tenn is a big surprise. Maybe they’ll have a tougher schedule when we are ready to compete in a few years.
