But the clear policy moving forward needs to be that you meet with our NIL professionals first. If we think it is in our best interest to have you on our team then we will make that heppen. If not we help you find another place. If you bypass our policy, you're on your own just like if you violate any other policy that is known to get you kicked off the team.
And clear evidence of Mullen's lazy recruiting. Taking guys others passed on or otherwise fell in his lap. The fact that we didn't improve over the course of the season last year further evidence.
Here’s Mullen’s recruiting “strategy”. 1. Sign as many 3* prospects as you can that are easy to get. Unfortunately many of these players take 2-3 years to develop if they actually become viable SEC starters. If they do develop you may only have them for one season. 2. Fill out the rest of the class with risky higher ranked players that the top teams won’t touch (ex Diwan Black, Arjei Henderson and that OL with that stupid visa issue) to make your class ranking look better than it actually is.
Arjei should have been the biggest red flag of them all. Serious questions should have been asked after that one.
Interesting. Wonder if he panned out on the field. Taking a flier here amd there is ok but under the circumstances Taking a commitment from someone who hadn't even visited when we already struggled with non qualifiers was a total gamble to fill numbers and bump up class ratings. I don't think anyone in the country remotely expected him to make it to campus, any campus.
Anything Mullen hurts pretty bad. Always 3+ years until players are helping and our players are very young.
A lot of kids just aren’t cut out for school. I wish there was another alternative like minor leagues in baseball.Fans don’t really sopport it but it would give opportunities to some that otherwise don’t get the opportunity.
3. Luck into a few guys who always wanted to be Gators. A few did the uni proud. Many used better judgements and were smart enough to go elsewhere.
That ranking definitely feels off, but the FPI is an algorithm, so it is based on the predetermined inputs and puts no value on the size of fan bases.
