Pass on the Bear for all the reasons stated above. We have a pretty good DT roster this year, most with several years left: Jackson - JR 355 (looks promising) Watson - JR 450 (so much potential, who knows) Humphries - JR 317 (will we ever get anything out of him?) Landry - SO 327 (?) Sapp - SO 271 (solid) Mclellan - SO 321 (star in the making) Norman - FR 282 (RS this year? Really glad we landed him.) Lyons - FR 309 (?) Banks - FR 315 (looks promising)
I understand the prick sentiment but also have to acknowledge that Trolling is the social media way. Lane understands the age demographic of recruits and his student fan base. They love it even if an old man like me doesn't appreciate the message it sends. As previously stated, Gator fans love Spurrier and if the HBC was still on the sidelines in 2023 I imagine his behavior would be similar. Let's just beat his ass on the field the next time we play.
The two have/had zero in common. I still can’t fathom why anybody feels compelled to associate one with the other. Anybody who does really doesn’t appreciate who Steve Spurrier is and what he was in his prime
Lane may be a decent coach and throw out some occasional funny lines but he couldn't even carry a curly hair out of Spurriers jock strap...let alone the whole Spurrier jock strap.
Spurrier was trolling before anyone knew what trolling was. We used to call his ‘zingers’….but the effect was the same.
