They definitely scored enough to win in those games. We're in the high-octane era of football where it's simply not pragmatic to rely on your defense to win games for you every week, however, the good teams will find a way to win when their offense puts up 35+, especially against elite competition.
Oh my god lol. Thou art truly holier than I. I’m such a sinner, I expect the guy who’s really good at using his legs to use his legs. Silly me
I lay floors for a living and I can still see plain as day that if AR wants to win a football game, his best chance is to run like an animal and I’ve seen him do it. Utilize that long ball given because they are scared of his legs. Any short pass is a bad play all because he butchers it consistently. You’re just a fan as am I but you see and know the same things I do. We aren’t blind just because we sit in the stands. Who would tell Tebow to do his best Tom Brady impression against Kentucky and Vandy? He’s not capable at this point, that’s obvious to even us couch potatoes. For some reason, we thought we could win those games without his legs but we were wrong. AR won us the Utah game by running like a madman on the last drive. That was a pretty good Tebow impression but we only saw it here or there. That run against FSU was impressive. If we saw that attitude from him consistently, we win more games. That said, I wouldn’t advise my kid that’s getting guaranteed 20+ mil shortly to do his best Tebow impression for an entire season. Self preservation is understandable but don’t sit here and tell me he left everything he had on the field every week. It’s just not the truth. You know it, I know it, and he knows it.
He’s all good as if he were one of our friends. We love our friends but they catch way more shit from us than others outside our circle. Don’t you give your closest friends the hardest time. We expect more out of those closest to us. I rooted for the kid every time he touched the ball. We all just wish he could have done better as I’m sure he does way more than any of us.
35 should be enough unless you run up against Burrow and co. It may take 50 with a good defense. They shredded a good Bama defense that year. The only games that were tough for me this year really were Tennessee and FSU. AR did his part( 3rd Quater fsu not so much) but our defense was so bad it was unbearable. AR should have gotten to take home a win at Tennessee though. Vandy and Ken though, just erase the tape and pretend it didn’t happen.
Tomlin spoke on this coming when he was recently on Big Ben’s podcast but gah damn how can you tackle anymore?????
Wanne, Agree with all accept TN. CBN rolled the dice, what, 6,7,8 times and the kids stepped up. But UT had us fighting on the precipice all day. AR did show his potential though. I was proud that UF was in it to the very last snap.
Between stuff like this, the rashada crap, and all the portal bs, sports are getting harder and harder to enjoy.
What a freaking blow out of left field that was. Sometimes I really wonder why so much weird shit hits our program. The clouds have to scatter and let the sun start warming up The Swamp again. It’s about time and what’s going on right now in Gainesville is a slow climb back to our feet again. And I really get the feeling that Napier could be the guy to get it done
