Well, I'd say a majority of posters here had unrealistic expectations then. Many were predicting a Heisman in his future before he ever started a game.
I tend to agree, but these NFL draft nuts are banking on him, being a hell of a lot better than Tebow
@candymanfromgc or @bobbybaker86 Please tell me he was hacked?? Micuzza’s Twitter says “Appreciate Coach Napier but I feel it’s best for me to put myself back in the portal”. account hacked maybe?? Who even cares at this point. If he stays cool if not so what. Maybe he’s hurt maybe someone dropped him a bigger bag who cares. Maybe it is something personal who knows. It’s just par for the course since 2020.
2 OL coaches being out worked by one at UM and one at FSU in terms of recruiting. That would be 3 starters on OL leaving in portal in less than 12 months. What are these OL coaches doing that players don’t like playing for them?
He literally was but ok. I guess AR just talks a mean game. I mean you saw what he just said at the combine about wanting to be the best ever right? Def didn’t show any of that at UF, but it’s ok because I’m just a fan, who knew? Just say you’re content with mediocrity and move on
Must have just happened because he’s participated in every practice and people were raving about him.
NFL teams are notoriously thorough and methodical about examining a college player's psyche and mental mental makeup and determining if they have heart, desire and passion to play at the next level. Do you really think they'd be investing a high draft pick and tens of millions of dollars on a player if they felt like he didn't want to be great at his craft? Wouldn't they notice the alleged loafing around fans like you swore they saw vs Florida State, and wouldn't they notice him allegedly not trying his best or running hard and steer clear of taking him? If they had any concerns, they wouldn't be entertaining him and red flags of his character and effort would've popped up. Looks like they're perfectly comfortable with him and don't have have the same issues and hangups about his character that some of you "fans" do. He's not here anymore, time to comb through the current roster and find a new scapegoat for 2023.
Sure, the NFL never values combine warriors who are suspect otherwise. That's why there are never busts like Jamarcus Russell.
russell isn’t a good example of a combine warrior. He had arm strength. That’s it. He didn’t wow in his 40x or bench press or broad jump or shuttles. A better example of workout warrior at combine would be Mike Mamula…a player not projected to later in the draft who wowed scouts at combine and was over drafted and a bust. Russell had tons of game film that helped push him to #1 overall and a huge arm. But he was probably eating Doritos at the combine while sucking down a blizzard from Dairy Queen vs wowing as a workout warrior.
