If that is accurate, he doesn’t need a summer break he needs to work hard straight through the summer

    What is this?
Gator players at a sponsored 3rd party event fulfilling their NIL.
I'm told this is not how they do it. Only commercials count.
    Hmm...

365 would be fantastic. A solid 350 his senior year.
Vita Vea for the Bucs plays at that weight And is considered a top DL.

Dec may have to lose muscle mass to get much smaller. He’s a bit overweight but he’s also a really big dude.

If the nutritional staff is doing their job he won't lose much at all.

That’s what I’m saying. This kid may be 365 with 10% body fat.

When Dez first started getting reps I thought he was something of an anomaly. A guy with freakish size with just enough athleticism to make us wish.
After seeing his progress managing his weight, steadily improving on the field and showing leadership qualities at the end of last season, I’m certain I underestimated Dez Watson’s character. I think he has had to work harder than most to get to the level he’s at today. I also think, barring any injuries, he will will be playing on Sundays.

He needs to get in better shape so he can move but no one is running in his gap.

That won't happen. He will never see under 25%

Your post rings my bell, Skink.
One would think that over the years a charter member of the SEC would command equal standing. Particularly one that has brought home as many National Championships as we have.
Truth be known, we have never been on equal footing because the “Good Ole Boys” network has ruled the SEC forever and still has way too much heft. Despite the turnover in population and changing demographics of the cities and players who comprise our teams, we still seem to be outsiders.
I think the same kind of bias for the traditional powers exists on a national scale as well. In my younger days I remember being thrilled that the great Kieth Jackson was going to do the broadcast for one of our SEC title games and the inflection of his voice gave away his obvious bias and infatuation with AL-A-BAM-A. May the Lord forgive me for being judgmental, but I’ve disliked him and his memory ever since.

Exactly and that why I say 350 may never be in this kids cards. He’s probably just bigger than that. This kid is thick and wide. He needs to slim down but he still going to be huge.

That is a data collecting shirt-top. It is linked to a system designed by catapult that can measure many things on how an athlete is performing. It can also be used to send information on injury, risk and other data.

He is an inch taller than Vita Vea. DW is a big dude but he is obese. Most likely 40-50%body fat. So if he drops body fat he can still be 350-365 at 30% that puts him at 90-110 pounds of fat. Spread that across his frame and he would look svelte.
