Read were transfers don't sign anything..they just enroll, and then join team? Is this true?

Well, I wasn’t very logical between 18-22. Heck, many question it at my ripe age of 46 .

He led the offense that beat the crap out of FSU & Michigan. Not to mention solid wins vs Miss St & LSU. And took us to a 10-3 record. If you want to say he is not as good as Trask, no one would dispute that. But “not very good at all” is a pretty poor & unfair characterization of him.

When Franks was on he was hard to beat. He just wasn’t as consistent as Trask. A bad day for Trask was still better than Franks on average.

I mean, he would look dead at a defender in tge flat and drill him in the chest once in a while but he won some nice games too.

Another AR with tremendous talent but little understanding of the importance of commitment.

You know if I would have read this a few months, If not weeks ago I would have been pissed at your comment about AR but it seems he’s more locked in on his draft prep than the season. That’s just me and probably unwarranted but just one man’s opinion

There are a lot of reasons to vilify Mullen but people tend to make the Trask/Franks thing simpler than it was. I've mentioned it many times before but people forget Trask was basically given a shot in 2018 but got hurt that very week. Franks won out the rest of the way playing much better than he had to that point.

2019 what does Mullen do? Play Trask who is injury prone and limited running the ball which was a big part of Mullen's offense? Trask showed the patience to sit the bench. Would Franks have stayed? So if franks pouts or leaves then we have an injury prone QB with almost no game experience and no one behind him. I really think the situation was more dynamic than people realize.

Isn’t Bryce Young playing in Bamas meaningless bowl game?

Agree...after halftime of the SC game that year, he had perhaps the best 3.5 game stretch of any UF QB since Tebow. Trask was special, but I never understand why so many people think that Feleipe was so awful.

Agreed, the Gators got stomped by Michigan 33-17 and by FSU 38-22 in 2017, the next season Franks led the Gators to revenge victories crushing FSU 41-14 (in Tallahassee) and Michigan 41-15 in the Peach Bowl in the last 2 games of the season. Franks threw 4 TDs in those games, no picks, and rushed for almost 150 yards.

Trask looked good against Missouri before his injury, but finished the season 14/22 for 162 yards with 1 TD so it wasn't a big body of work.

He was considered as an iffy 5*, but am surprised that we did not pursue Christian Leary...I thought he was a late riser that season before Bama swooped in....That was the year Mullen lost Mario Williams, Leary and anyone else whose name we can remember....

In defense of Mullen, Mario Williams wasn't staying in state no matter what. That was known for the start
