"He brought in Pitts." No he didn't. "But he coached him." Yes, and recruited nobody despite that success. "Not his fault, recruits got bought."

Is there anything you like about the program? You complain about everything.

Tim Brewster's best coaching days are behind him. WAY behind him. He is a high energy guy and is still considered to bring value as a recruiter...but that is only b/c of his accomplishments 15+ years ago. I have spoken to TE's that played for him within the past four years and they all say "meh" when asked if he's a good coach.

You should find SOMETHING to appreciate about the team (coaches, players, staff, facilities, etc...). It will make your day more enjoyable.

This group is working hard to rebuild the program.

Oregon is now looking to steal someone else’s highly rated QB.

Not many fan bases got to experience what Spurrier and Meyer brought to UF. Expecting that all the time is setting oneself up for disappointment.

This!! Folks have to realize that at the end of the day, HOF coaches don't grow on trees. Expecting Meyer/Spurrier with every single new coaching hire is going to burn you more often than not. Coaching hires are risky no matter what a coach did at their previous stop.

Taking over a ready made program and sustaining it is extra hard too especially if you're taking over a program left to you by a great/legendary coach. Florida is a TOUGH TOUGH job, even when we were winning at an elite rate under Spurrier and Meyer. Napier TOLD us day 1 to be patient and while this has been up and down, i'm being patient because he's going to get another 3 full seasons unless he just bottoms out before that.

No he wasn’t. Pitts was part of McElwain’s 2018 class before he got fired and Mulls was able to keep him onboard. Brewster was hired in 2020.

But Top 12 seed is very attainable and with elite QB play, we can be right in it every year.

I haven’t heard recruits talk as highly about Brewster as they do Peagler.

I think he's just hunting for a reason to badmouth Peagler, which led to him latching on to Brewster for whatever reason, and continuing to double down on that stance every time he's faced with logical evidence disproving his claims

Lets not forget, being a championship Football or Basketball program can bring in billions. From an investment perspective, thats why we have the new facilities, thats why we have the big staff, and thats why I think they will compete in NIL deals. The ROI is there. The motive to win is not just about pride, ego, or fan satisfaction. Its about making money. Spending a few million to get Championship talent is dimes holding up dollars when there are hundreds of millions at stake.

I think UF does what it takes... just not in public sleeze ball tweety kind of way.
