The discussion was about Norman who is in the all grey and on the left. I mentioned how his Gator chomp was weak, and his reply was about how he wasn’t in Gator gear. Unless we’re wrong In our thinking?

A VERY real possibility. But he is another hybrid/tweener IMO. Whatever happens, happens.

 

You could be right, but I doubt our staff is looking for more “tweeners”, since we have enough of those. They must see a LB in him, and no way we can turn away a LB as highly rated as him, considering our situation. I’m not familiar with his history. Did he play other positions before becoming just a LB at IMG? Or is it a size thing that makes him a hybrid in your mind?

 

His career is in coaching or some or field rather than as a player. Good to get a grad degree. Learning the Leach offense could serve him well in the future, if coaching. His position coach would be Steve Spurrier Jr

 

Not sure why he wasn’t considered A Pearsal. Very good route runner with hands. Did he lose speed and agility from the injury?

 

The only thing that concerns me about this is it’s out in the open instead of being done in the shadows.

You're correct that he's a hybrid, but kind of the hybrid we have been using with the 3-3-5.

The idea of prototypical LBs are a thing of the past. There is no point in having a SAM with modern offenses.

The things I like with Bryant are 1) tackling abilities, and 2) rushing the passer. His frame only becomes a liability if he puts on another 30-40 lbs. He'd be too small to play with his hand on the ground as a DE
