He’s’committed’ and his ‘recruitment hasn’t slowed down’ to the point that it’s “stressful”?

That doesn’t sound like a commitment to me. I’d freaking love to see UF come out with “we’ll just pull back that offer so you can decide what you want to do without all this stress”. SMH

 

Well be running close to or around 80 plays a game and if his offense is 60/40 rush/pass ratio that would be close-ish in carries. I hope we don't have to run AR more than a handful of times. We Need him healthy, our #2,Miller has looked Good in camp bit will miss a couple weeks after a minor surgery. Behind him depth gets real scary.

 

Maybe we take it easy on kids now that they have a lot more people in their ears. About money.

 

3 star with a really nice offer list. My guess is he is better than his rating. Within 2 weeks of us offering at end of Feb, auburn, LSU, FSU, Bama and Clemson all offered. He went to Bamas junior day and got an offer there. Also holds offers from Mich st and Texas among the other notable schools.

 

I’m inclined to agree Fox, but any kid who is publicly “committed to UF” is insulting UF by putting out tweets like this and I find it offensive. Go on recruiting trips if you feel the need but don’t go out bragging that you’re still playing the field so much it’s stressful. SMH - what in hell does committed mean anymore?

True, but everybody who has committed has a spot so further recruiting at that position shouldn’t be a threat to those already offered and committed. Right?

 

Playing devils advocate here, but maybe getting non stop questions, online messages, calls, Texts even after he committed is the stressful part that hasn't stopped that he spoke of. Maybe he's not necessarily playing the field but at the same time probably don't want to burn bridges with other schools by cutting all communication in case he somehow becomes expendable to our staff.

 

Really, a commitment means far less than it used to.

His daddy was a RB and team captain for UGA in the '90's and his brother plays basketball I believe for Ohio st.

 

I was about to post this. I don’t think we can assume what is stressful about it. People might be taking this the wrong way and going after him for no reason.

 

Kids get pushed out all of the time man. Maybe he doesn’t like the thought of possibly being third in line in this class….

 

It's fun following "commits" and encouraging, but IMO the REAL action (AUCTION) will start about 2 weeks before early signing day. I have predicted EVERYBODY wil have high attrition and numerous changes from verbals. How high, is uncertain, but I believe the changes will be much more significant than in previous seasons, this cycle.

 

I think its really, really, a bad idea to give any "commits" shit right now about this kind of stuff. It's just going to make it harder on everybody, just relax, be supportive and let it play out! I think the alternative could piss off a few "cruits" and will alienate them and make it even harder to get ink on paper.

I can only speak for myself but I'm certainly not going to get ugly on the board with kids wearing other teams gear, taking visits or not talking the "right language".

Makes sense to me. I’m just saying some kids shut down their recruiting after being offered and committing to a university like UF. This sounded pretty much like the opposite of that
