Meh. I think it's beneath him too but he hasn't really said anything offensive. We don't need to be soft about it. It makes us look weak.

 

I'm guessing our #1 back averages more than 8 carries a game this year

 

I was hoping someone would ask him why his company value has tanked recently.

 

Has nothing to do with being “soft” — Ruiz is a scumbag and acts like a scumbag. Nothing is “beneath him” - that’s my point. How’s that?

 

So an emotional argument based on your perception of him? Knock yourself out. I just think it's silly to complain about his smack talk.

How so? You think he is a scumbag and because of that you think all of his responses are low class.

I don't think he's really landed any punches so I'm shrugging my shoulders at his responses.

 

What's your over/under on designed runs for AR? It could be that high, or near it.

 

What Ruiz says doesn't keep me up at night. But we probably can all agree that there is a high correlation between scumbags and low class responses.

I'm hoping the No. 1 back gets 20+ carries, No. 2 RB gets 10-15, and No. 3 gets 5-10

 

I would say on the low side when it comes to designed runs...maybe a couple of short yardage or goal line plays but most of his carries will come from scrambles when the protection doesn't hold up. I would say 5-7 carries a game.

That’s 35-45 Carries a game just for the rbs- (so doesn’t include the Carrie’s from AR). That seems like alot per game. More likely, you may have different running backs getting 15+ carries in games depending on who has the hot hand and not one averaging 20+ but one getting 20 here and there.

 

If it is stressful, are you committed?

 

Commitments don’t seem to mean anything these days. I guess we shouldn’t truly count our chickens until signing day. Same goes for everyone else (except Bama)
