In your mind there is, but not in everybody else's. The point is, people were not saying the same thing about EJ that they're saying about Richardson. You pretty much made that one up, and it amounts to nothing more than a diss on AR before the season even starts.

How can we not root for A&M to win big? Not rooting for Jambo, just that we more need miami and their staff to look bad. And we have our own obstacles this season.

This is a great post in a lot of ways. I think we have a talented team that was only missing a good head coach to be competitive with the top programs. And from what I've seen so far, we've finally gotten that coach. His staff upgrades and recruiting speak for themselves. He delivers a firm and consistent message of discipline and professionalism which I expect is more than lip service, but a standard he'll demand adherence to. The fact that people at the highest levels (for example, Coaches Spurrier and Raymond) endorse the program's direction either verbally or, in Raymond's case, by his actions in pulling up his stakes and deciding to come to Florida, indicates a lot to me about the program and, ultimately, the coach. Yes, there's a lot that still has to happen before we get "there" - but there are a lot of very promising signs that it's no longer a matter of whether it'll happen, but when. Florida football is about to get fun again!

I think it’s a completely different comparison. Some of it might be a small sample size, but AR has shown he will push the ball, whereas EJ showed he would not. The results might be similar, but the paths are the opposite.

Not only that, AR really only had one game where the playbook was open and that was against LSU and it took Mullen until he couldn't ignore it anymore to give the reigns to AR. The next time he got extended PT, against UGA, while their D was talented, the offense wasn't catering to any of his strengths (not that it was going to matter in the grand scheme of things against UGA that day). By the time he got the reigns back again against FSU, the staff was on their way out

I hear you, but I believe that I alluded to AR's need to grow into his physical talent - and to prove it when and where it counts, on the field. I also alluded to the difference that the new staff will make in giving AR a set of tools that better suit his natural abilities - instead of accidentally retarding his progress like the previous guy may have done. One way or the other, EJ came into last season as the anointed heir at QB and did not live up to the enormity of the task. I'm sorry, but he just didn't. And it's true, AR has not "proved" that he will either, due to the problems you spelled out and the uneven nature of his play and his injury record. But I still don't see the two as being comparable prospects at taking over the QB job at UF. Either talent-wise or in light of the coaching staff. JMHO. Peace out.

I'm team AR lol. I'm just saying that last year I kinda write off good and bad since we were such a unstable program.

I don’t see hardly any similarities at all. Richardson has made some bad throws but he is young and EJ look straight at guys and hit him in the chest. I’m talking about the defenders of course

That interesting... none of the recruiting sites have the Gators in his top list of teams to choose from... I wonder why that is?
