Regardless of when it happened, we don’t have players, fans, and coaches trying to smooth it over . I want tge bad apples gone and I don’t want our coaches trying to defend them.

 

UF is quick to send a kid packing and rightfully so.

Totally agree. I’m just sick and tired of people calling themselves Gator fans saying very misleading things about our program in an effort to find some perceived high ground. Implying that Hernandez was committing murder or some other capital crime while at UF is disingenuous and serving some ulterior motive. All teams have their bad actors from time to time but it’s nothing more than virtue signaling to suggest our program is as dirty as ref$u or scUM — either that or straight up trolling

 

I imagine we tend to be more sensitive and aware to criticisms about the Gators but I really struggle to recall a program that takes as much criticism on a regular basis than we do. Miami's title teams are still mentioned with very little tarnish about them. Bobby Bowden's transgressions are joked about at times but more often he is praised and heralded still today. Tom Osborne sold his soul to win titles and overlooked multiple violent acts and took some heat at the time but not much. It goes on and on.

A lot of stuff there kind of hard to know what he's saying sometimes as if he's trying not to be too harsh.

Makes me feel bad for the sh%t show he and many others went through.

 

FSU and Miami being good in recruiting helps UF none at all. We are direct competitors. What is good for them is bad for us.

Beating a ranked FSU and/or Miamiwill only helps UF marginally because of how many ranked teams UF already plays Ina season.

You cherry picked to give any semblance of equivalence in the Urban era. Urban owned FSU.

But continue your love affair with Bowden and FSU.

 

Hell, at my age, it takes 4.3 seconds for me to trip and fall over my wiener dog.

 

Gee Skink, I love the Gators and don't appreciate the suggestion otherwise, but you seem to have forgotten the record under Urban and the arrest records. Nor, apparently do you comprehend what I was posting, I don't particularly like the back and forth by the UF, FSU and Miami fan bases about players getting into trouble.
I prefer to post about football, I can't make it any clearer than that.

 

Anyway, I'm way off topic and apologize to the board. The Thread is about Twitter updates and I have none, hopefully some good tweets about recruiting coming, in the meantime I will keep non Twitter recruiting thoughts off this thread.

Nothing directed at you personally Head - and I share your opinions ….. except I can’t get past the lowlife operation that ref$u has been for the last 30 years. Anybody attempting to put UF in the same category as that cesspool is gonna get a lot of pushback from me
