I think CBN is a line of scrimmage coach. I like the beef he has brought in.

UF admin looks like it's playing letter of the NCAA and FL law.

With the way offers are apparently being tossed about right now, they would be technically inducements not NIL. UF has decided not to play in that gray are six months out.

I imagine it will be a bit different a week from LOIs and potential enrollment. At that point the player's side of the contract can be specifically defined and imminently fulfilled.

I can certainly see our admin trying that, but it seems like a recipe for disaster. Would wonder what that would do to our early commits, who assumeably played by the rules and got paid much less?

Yeah, roster management just took on a completely different dimension for college coaches. Locker room dissension is going to be a big issue for all.

I imagine UF is outlining the general opportunities ahead for all recruits with the two collectives. Promoting the idea that everyone will have opportunities and be taken care of once they enroll, but not offering specific numbers/conditions (this would be "not being with the business side" to some parents who want straight up bids for their kids' services).

This hopefully avoids some of the issue you state, with the assumption that the kids committing now want to attend UF, see the benefits of UF overall, and are happy enough with the potential to earn ahead.

Every kid/family is going to have to come to grips with where they lie in the new NIL value pecking order, or make bad overall decisions and risk outcomes they don't want.

We have gotten some good commits in the last 2 weeks, yet we are so focused on who we didn't get. I think we are way ahead of the last staff. CBN will get it done. Its only june. I am sure lots of players waiting to see product on the field. The only schools bragging about nil are tenn and scum. They haven't been relevant in decades.

Haha some are freaking already. It's only July and we are likely in for a national commit/decommit frenzy until the last day.

Its the old school Ebay method. Remember when You'd wait till the 11th hour (or last couple minutes of the bidding, in this case ESD or NSD) and come in and swoop it up right from under their noses with a last minute bid.

Man if we somehow get F. Mauigoa this place will go berserk. And I can actually see CBN having someone break out the checkbook for this kid seeing as much of importance the OL is to him. Probably means more than most QB's, and as it should, as we have all seen first hand how much a QB needs a good line to succeed.

    my take…

1). Probably not coming here. I hear Miami, USC, and Tenn
2). Most project him as a guard in college, not a tackle due to his actual measurements. If that ends up being the case, maybe not as valuable for NIL as he 5 stat ranking would suggest.

    though I’ve been wrong before

I Can see that but He would still be a huge get at the guard position as his strengths are run blocking currently and that's what CBN likes to put emphasis on.
