And being a great high school player doesn't mean they will be successful in college-Bobby Sabelhous anyone?

If the Gator Collective didn't offer Rashada $11million and can prove it, should they sue Rashada's attorney for libel?

Because I think On3 is the one who tweeted/printed it. Unless I’m mistaken.

Grayson Howard committed to SC. Another Lb off the board. A Jax kid chooses SC over UF.

This is a good spot for him. He doesn't have to move too far and it's a place where he can win the job and show off his talents. Too bad I'll have to root against him for picking them though.

QB and RB recruiting are obviously getting a lot of attention, but LB recruiting is looking just as dire right now. No idea what the board looks like right now, the only guy I can think of is the JUCO LB from Mississippi. Based on recent events, I have to think that Bryant and Aguirre are unrealistic at this point.

i think some of our top targets are committed elsewhere (Michigan for 1) or are more edge players (Bryant). Pretty thin.

Must be the money - only thing that makes sense. Same for that Dylan Lonergan kid - USCe must be throwing big bucks around.

    Not
    Sustainable…..

….especially considering SC is one of the poorest states in the country. They don't even have the money to open up I-95 to 3 lanes like every other state that highway passes through.

It’s gonna be frustrating to watch us lose recruits to this uncontrolled madness, but I’m gonna love watching these houses of cards collapse within the next few years. Hang in there Gator fans

Lets hope like hell that this is NIL throwing wrenches into our boards and are not results of mediocre, uncoordinated recruiting.

Nothing about anything i've read or seen about the program over the last 6 months leads me to believe this is the case. The things going on behind the scenes would have to be very, very different than the outward appearance

We know better than that. Think back to when CBN started building his staff with recruiting at the forefront. All those fine looking and very professional assistants, like the one he stole from UGa - all the rave reviews from not only recruits but also parents - how impressed they all were with the program arranged for each kid. We haven’t had this much 4* and 5* talent visit Gainesville since Urbs days. Our staff, their scouting and evaluating, and their recruiting efforts are fine. This is all about pay for play literally destroying the recruiting process. And as stated earlier by many, it is bringing down the sport overall.

It's a completely different game now. The old model no longer applies. Planning, relationships, and working the kids 24/7 is completely superseded by unlimited bidding for the top kids.

I don't mind if UF/Napier are caught a bit behind the curve adapting, but they need to figure out a path to make it work over the long haul. Similar to Urbs getting a reality check when he jumped into the SEC, but ultimately figuring it out.

Side note- do you think teams ask players to prove what kind of NIL deal they are offered by another school? If some father is discussing with a staff and says, "well, you're about a million shy of our lowest offer" wouldn't you want to see the proposal?

One would, but you can't really burn a bridge like that. Most programs are going to have to set valuations for a kid's skillset and more or less stick to them.
