Yeah, I think this is one where the state isn't going to dole out consequences to any who push the envelope, but UF has been very much about making sure any type of impropriety is avoided. It's just the culture, which is understandable.

 

Do you know a battalion chief in Ocala(mcfd) named Joe A. (Don't want to put my last name) he is my brother. He taught at the fire college for a while in the early 2000's

 

Could be why the NCAA paid Miami a visit. Besides, I’d bet my last dollar that Ruiz is shady as hell and not nearly as wealthy as he claims.

He talks big but …. Remember when he said he was going to build a stadium close to campus except there is nowhere to put it?

Yeah, kind of seems like Ruiz is 3/4ths full of shizz. Go for the big bluff out the gate and hope it builds the momentum.

Answer: it’s not going to turn around in one off-season— gotta play the long game and hope like hell that the ‘zillas’ of the world are sufficiently outnumbered by people who understand the concept of the long game. Build it to last

Hope I never run into you on the job Skink. I run calls from time to time in margaritaville. I'm not at the station across the street but my engine runs in there from time to time. Looks like we have some brush fires going on nearby today.

 

I remember all of the instructors that taught from 1996-2003. I was not an instructor however, I worked in the Bureau of Fire Standards.
There were several Marion County firefighters teaching both regular courses and Minimum Standards during those years.
There were only three field reps then, at least one has passed away, the other was a bit older than me… so there is a excellent chance your brother would remember me if he was there during that timeframe, my first name is Phil.

 

The easiest one is all around the airport.

 

I remember one game that was insanely hot. I stopped to help an “older gentleman” who was suffering from the heat, the paramedics tried to take me to 1st aid. I was too fast for them… young whipper snapper’s.
It would be wonderful if we could arrange a group get together for a game or two.

 

People just taking it all a little too seriously. It is what it is. The man said be patient and that we may even not like him to start. I’ll take his word for it. We all know he’s got a massive mess to clean up, that doesn’t happen over night. I never expected him to compete with Kirby, Saban or the other usual suspects. I just feel like UF isn’t willing to put themselves on that level anymore. We all have our opinions as to why that is.

I just want kids that enjoy being Gators, are disciplined on and off the field and are consistent. I’d like a sustainable program that occasionally can compete with UGA and Bama. I don’t expect their level of continued successes. Consistent 9+ win seasons with the occasional surprise and I’m happy.

A coach that doesn’t talk out of his ass all the time would be nice as well.
