I was always less convinced with Mitchell because he was all about NIL from the start, but yeah UF going 3/3 on those guys was a thing in March.

For all our sake, don't get too attached to Cormani especially with Saban involved.

I’ve got a lot of patience and I’ll be here when it turns around if it goes.

Yeap it will.remember 0-10-1? Yeap was around then too...been thru a lot of coaches..from Ray Graves to Doug Dickey to Charlie Pell, to Galen Hall to SOS (my favorite) to Zook to Meyer to muschamp to macelwain to Mullen to Napier..saw a lot of games and followed a lot of recruiting too...never saw fans already say the "honeymoon is over" in less than 6 or 7 months and they haven't even seen one down of football payed under this coach..

Well, when the coach was hired simply because of his recruiting acumen is struggling to compete with rivals (and non-rivals like Michigan St) in recruiting, people are going to question how things are going.

Nobody is calling for Napier's job. People are just righly expressing concern about how recruiting is seemingly getting worse by the day (hell, by the hour).

Napier said in his first press conference it was going to be a slow build and not to expect a lot of fireworks right out of the gate. He's building it from the inside out by making sure the current guys are taken care of, there's a good locker room and foundation. He's also very truthful which could end up hurting him as he won't just tell a recruit everything they want to hear, but what they need to hear. Then you've got the cristobols of the world throwing tons of cash at all of these high profile players, but we'll see when the season starts how their roster holds up. If I was a three year starter and some hot shot who's never played a down of college football comes in with triple the NIL deal I have, I'd be none too pleased.

Hopefully admin changes its tune when none of their perceived repercussions for programs tossing out six figure deals materialize.

A bit of success on the field coupled with admin letting UF play by the same rules as the rest, and I expect Napier/UF will be as formidable as we hoped 6 months ago.

One thing I will credit Napier and this staff with is that they made sure that the current roster got taken care of first when it came to NIL. That was most likely a huge thing to get the team on his side before even having a practice.

I don’t think success will help our case with the admin. It’s going to have to get ugly before it gets better if the admins “holier than thou” attitude continues

Is it the administration or the law in Florida? Seems a lot of you don’t understand that the rules are different in different states. Because the state of Florida drafted their law prior to the NCAA changing the rules our law is actually more restrictive than those in other states.

    States rethink restrictive NIL laws

I'm completely behind Napier. No idea about his Xs and Os but he is everything we have been lacking the past 12 years as a program director. He also comes with NO baggage. With that said, some concern about recruiting is fair considering some recent events. MSU and Texas haven't been winners recently and they are now pulling recruits that were our targets. Not sure why we have to have a good season to justify recruiting when some of these other programs have been worse off than we have been. It's still early and I suspect we still end up well enough recruiting but if we don't then it's pretty reasonable to suspect there may be a systemic issue with the way the University or athletic dept handles recruiting. I don't think Corey Raymond suddenly forgot how to recruit or that Napier doesn't know what it takes to land a premier player after his stints at Bama and Clemson.

Seriously though. It's not like we are talking about hevesy and Knox. Spencer and Raymond have amazing reputations yet people here are still talking about "great recruiters" and the lack thereof? If it doesn't pan out it's not because of our staff.

Curious. What teams aren't taking care of their current roster? If any team neglects their roster they enter the portal and leverage a deal or else they're gone no?
