Yep, and your not seen as true orange and blue if you critique, complain, vent, etc. you and many others have been vindicated more than once.

This post alone will draw the ire of some. Bottom line it’s a message board and opinions will be stated. Some of the more knowledgeable fans I’ve found are those that don’t always wear Orange and Blue glasses but are Gator supporters. Some feel you aren’t a Gator if you have contradictory views. You can be a fan and not always agree with everything.

Yes you absolutely are. I wish some on here would listen to Shane Matthews and SOS. Mathews ( for those that say he played the game) is critical of more than just football and he’s a Gator to the core.

Let me state I think we will be fine. The crowd that gets upset that we get upset because we can’t get kids to commit in June will not change. History has proven ( and several of us have said it) that the longer we go without getting 4-5 stars to commit Early the smaller the chance they commit to us. Now, after saying that and being chastised, several of us that said it aren’t questioned as much. This is one example.

The best fans and most knowledgeable I have known over the years have been some of the most critical.

I have no argument with your post in the context of our last 3 head coaches. But on June 18th with LOIs still over 7 months away - while our new HC has built a killer staff and they’re all recruiting their asses off and bringing in large numbers of 4* and 5* recruits like we haven’t seen in well over a decade - there isn’t much credible grounds for ‘critiquing, complaining, and venting’ about anything. Except for how unregulated NIL is ruining the sport before our eyes.

Geez boys and girls, our team has been irrelevant since these kids were like 7 or 8 years old. It’s beyond unrealistic and unreasonable for any of us to be demanding or even expecting a mythical top 10 recruiting class at this early stage of Napier’s staff getting this program up off its back and off the mat. A new staff doesn’t turn this mess around overnight like some here seem to be crying for. Hell, even freaking Bama doesn’t have a respectable signed class at this point in early summer. And the current top classes don’t have one signed LOI

Yeah everyone who asked for patience with the last 3 HCs can clearly be ridiculed in hindsight. So have y’all already decided to lump Napier into the same bucket of losers before he even coaches his first game or closes his first recruiting class? It appears that some on here are doing just that

I really don’t understand the draw to MSU. That one really has me scratching my head.

Well, that's exactly how it went with the last staff. We would be in waiting for a big commit at a position of need and we are eliminated, or boom, the staff takes a lower, unrated player while the player we wanted is still not committed anywhere and we have to try to make sense of it. Some 3 star players are great and underrated. I'm not going to complain about a guy that's ranked 30th at his position. That said, by the time a senior season begins, an unranked player probably stays so and for a reason. Four(?) of fsu's last six commits are unrated or 60th/80th. That's a direction I like for them. If I like that trajectory for my enemies I cannot accept it for my team. I have to believe staff is going to land two very good players at the big position groups and a solid 4 star QB, RB. Two very good OL/DL/LB/WR/DB should be within this staff's range.

Wild guess: some cash for the visit and then have "signing bonus" bags and attractive contracts ready if they sign and commit publicly before leaving.

Recruits have to realize, the bigger the offer the worse that school is.

It’s a nice place - campus much like ours - with a dynamic young black coach who apparently rings with the kids being recruited. And he beat Michigan. Tucker is another one who seems to be doing it the right way - and the fans are behind him

It sucks for them that he won't be there too much longer if he continues his rise in the ranks. Itll be Shades of Nick Saban when he left the Spartans. I know he just got a big contract but the real head to head coaching is in the SEC. And soon Oklahoma and Texas will be there. I kinda hope he stays out there in the big 10. Wouldn't want to see him at a place like Auburn.

He may bring in a new power as Bowden and Dabo did. Some guys like to forge their own way. SOS brought us to new heights too.
