No issue with this. 85 max roster in place and this helps programs with a lot of transfers or early NFL draft departures, whether due to coaching changes or other factors.

 

That crunches us even more against the 85 limit. Really expected more guys to have left the program at this point.

This doesn't help us, only depleted teams like LSU (NCAA pres. was AD there..)

And this definitely doesn't help full teams like ours, it hurts. NCAA's timing of course makes it worse.
How do you give EVERYONE a "free eligibility" year in 2020 but then tell schools you're stuck with each underperforming player from 5 different classes an extra year, year after year, while it reduces the schollies you can offer new players.
Most good players are gone in 3 to 4 years, how was it a bad thing to give kids that won't get drafted an extra year to stand out and get a free education without hurting the program, which now might have to choose not to renew those schollies if it wants to get better by recruiting. Maybe schools release them and get boosters to pay them through NIL? As usual, NCAA not making sense and "forcing" schools to find backdoors to give kids a fair treatment. smdh
