I certainly agree but we gotta face the reality that it takes a lot for these kids to actually commit to a program that hasn't won anything recently compared to the other programs that are courting them. It's just so much more of an uphill climb than a lot of people perceive, it's why I think moving the spring game was the right idea since getting kids here is 100% the main priority. This isn't 2005 where Urban can come in and solely lays down the law/changes the game, other programs have their "shit together" and we're playing catch up.

I don’t get how having the game on Thursday ensures all the big time recruits are here. They have school on Thursday and Friday. Most spring breaks are over before April. So what guarantees us that they all can miss school? I also worry that not having it on a weekend could cost us easily 10,000 fans or more that could have come on the weekend. I’ve already talked to quite a few that now will not be able to make it due to this change.

 

It is The Thursday before Easter. Most schools are off that Friday I believe.

Speculation is that it means good news. Lots of big name recruits in Gainesville this weekend, so people think it means we got a commit. Started to get CBs for AJ Harris soon after this post so think it might refer to him.

 

This along with, let's be real, Napier is more of an unknown than Meyer was when Meyer got to UF. Utah was spotlighted with their BCS appearance and along with ND and UF battling it out to hire him, he was clearly the most desired "free agent" coach that coaching cycle. Napier at ULL was never spotlighted like that so these kids aren't THAT familiar with him but that's going to change

 

Seems like only a year or two ago we signed Fenley Graham and now his kid!
