UF's very best classes often had a five star interior DL and an edge DL. Not saying they have to be five star but have prototypical attributes of future first round picks at those positions.

Just watched his sophomore highlights. He's an intriguing prospect on offense but I didn't see plays that indicated exceptional hands. He's an all world DE, great pursuit speed, vicious hitter and a sure handed tackler.

Used to drive by that stadium when we lived in St. Louis. My kids would have gone to that school if hadn't moved to Chicago.

Remember when the top rated QBs in the land would visit and sign with UF like Chris Leak and Brock Berlin? Hopefully that happens again. I know we will have turned this thing around when we start to sign a top rated OT each class. When our OL recruiting improves, we will know we are there. If we can consistently have top 10 classes and an occasional top 5, we can compete for championships

I’ll be a little more excited when they actually commit/sign. Getting hats on the table is better than nothing I guess but not really.

You gotta be in the conversation before signing them. I’m liking what I’m seeing right now with the emphasis on recruiting 24/7/365.

Nothing against private schools, but yea, a QB playing against the top public school programs in Michigan, especially Cass Tech, gets half a star just based on the competition. States like Illinois and Louisiana with their big Catholic populations have great private school programs. South Florida too. Don't hear that much about private school football in Alabama.

Back to his highlights, the kid maintains laser sharp focus when the pocket collapses and gets the ball away milliseconds before getting hit. He's got great feet, excellent pocket awareness and a Grossman-esque release. He's dangerous throwing on the run. Impressive numbers, 5700 yards, 73 TDs and only three picks over his last two seasons. Haven't seen any rushing numbers but he covers the first 10 yards in the blink of an eye.

He'd be like the Devil on Saban's shoulder -- if Todd says something is a good idea, do the opposite.

Yes, plus all the other top rated QBs like Kresser, Sablehouse, Childs, Danny, etc. Then there was Rex who came with his dad to Gville and recruited SOS to recruit Rex. Those were the days.
