The Gator's women basketball team cracked the top 25 for the first time since 2016. Like i have posted in multiple times we need to hire her to also coach the men's team and replace White.

Is UF really that hard to get in these days? I see the acceptance rate still around 36%, isn’t that high?

This link says the acceptance is nearly 39%. I guess what people are referring to is that little separates the applicants. So a reject is plenty good to get accepted elsewhere.

That acceptance number may be for all classes, but for incoming freshman it was 6300 spots out of 53000 applicants. Welcome #UF25!

Acceptance is nearly a lottery system since so many are close in academics. Factors such as interested major, how many college credits you have (the lower the better, apparently), do play in...somehow. I advised my daughter to finish up her AA locally, then apply to UF but she wanted to get out of town and experience college life. She didn't get into UF, but is happy at USF and she got a nice scholarship to go there.

6300/53000 => 11.9%, this should be the correct % and that’s hard to get in

I thought it was difficult when I applied ('99), but I can't even imagine right now. I was deferred based on my GPA (3.8 IIRC) and SAT (1320) and only got in when my ACT score was sent in. Luckily my son is smarter than me so hopefully he has a shot...
