I don’t like him but he has done very well for that program. Attendance and merchandise sales are way up and they are winning more than 2-3 games a year. He’s worth the money they spent because he’s likely already made them that much.
Didn’t anoint him, just saying he is making the school more money than they’ve seen in years? decades? so they are paying him. It makes sense for Colorado. I don’t like him and don’t think much of him, you can see that in my post history. Met him before and he was not a nice guy.
My brother went to UF and now lives in Boulder, Colorado. He called me yesterday and in our conversations the Buffalos and Deion came up. He told me about his new contract and how he has has gotten a lot of good players (studs) coming in. He said the excitement for another good season is building. Deion loves the area and seems to want to continue building the program and living out his life. Partially due to him having continuing blood clots, amputating a couple toes and other ailments. The admin and fans adore him, Players adore him and believe in him. Probably the only coach in America to be able to turn around a low trod program and return it to revelance, quickly!
I think this is due to where Boulder is. They are not in a fertile recruiting area. They have to import almost all f their players. Deion’s health is not great as he gets older and I am sure flying all over the nation back and forth is not in the cards.
I hope he’s happy enough to stay there till the end of his career. I’d hate to ever see him in Tallahassee
