As for the Ukraine war no one I respect thought Ukraine had any chance of "winning." Russia was always going to capture the territory t wanted in eastern and southern Ukraine. If Russia wants it will eliminate Ukraine as a country. That was not it's original purpose. Russia has essentially won. The US will give Ukraine some help to keep Ukraine from collapsing before the election.
