I think Tucker is there to get in good with Putin, maybe sit with him at either end of that long, long table in the Kremlin, in hopes that Putin will then put in the good word with Trump, to give Tucker a nice cushy job in Trump's upcoming regime. Ambassador to Russia, most likely. (Nothing demanding like presidential adviser, having to put up with Trump and control him every day.) If Tucker expresses any doubt that Trump will follow Putin's recommendation, Putin could show Tucker a video about golden showers. "Yeah, I think Trump will listen," Tucker could then say with a laugh. "Did you see him at Helsinki?" Putin could ask, and they could both roll on the Kremlin floor laughing.

 

True and perhaps not in a formal sense he does represent the view of the likely presidential candidate of one of the two major US political parties.

I think my Lindbergh analogy is a little more spot on. For Carlson to sink to “Hanoi Jane” level, we would have to be directly in a shooting war with Russia while he was doing his BS. Even Lindbergh allowed the scales to fall off his eyes when we went to war with the Third Reich. Strictly for the moment, I’ll give Carlson the benefit of the doubt that he would remember who his country is if and when Russia crosses that line to make us go to war.
