That's a good point. In Florida state cases, they have Regional Conflict Counsel then private firms get cases if there are more defendants creating conflicts beyond that. I didn't really consider the potential conflicts of interest in the context of January 6th.

 

There are a lot of people serving hard time in prison for crimes they didn't commit. Those are the breaks when you hang out around violent scumbags in environments you shouldn't be in.

Interesting you mention this because I was watching it that night live. As your link notes, no individuals crossed the White House Fence, but I did see some pushing against the barricades and throwing things like bottles at the Secret Service. I remember at least one agent getting hit in the head. I remember telling someone that night that if those rioters got through, they were probably going to get shot before they got into the White House. I give the law enforcement and Secret Service credit for exercising as much restraint as they did.

They blindly followed a man attempting to overturn the election, a man who didn't recognize the authority of the people, and then they tried to disrupt/stop the electoral vote count in pursuit of that end. They are the worst citizens in the country and should go to jail for as long as possible.

The argument about BLM wasnt that violence was good. The argument was that 94% of marches were peaceful and the whole righeous goal of bringing awareness to police brutality in the black community shouldnt be soiled by those 6% that went bad. 100% of the protests of the electoral college ended up in a riot and an attempt to unseat the duly elected president. I have no ill will to whatever peaceful protests happened at other sites.. even if calling our election fixed and a fraud isnt righteous but instead is an insidious lie born out of hate and anger.
