Something tells me you wouldn't be trying so hard to defend what happened if it had been thousands of immigrants instead of Trump supporters.

I would feel the same if it were immigrants, democrats, or any other group of people.

 

Honestly, how many people actually hear people discussing this riot outside of this message board and the partisan talking heads? Is this something you neighbors discuss on a regular basis? Do you ever hear people discussing this during the dining experience at a local restaurant?

 

Well, whatever those “little voices” you hear are telling you ….. is wrong. I think the vast majority of folks immigrating to the US are too focused on “other more important matters” to engage in a riot at the US Capital.

Maybe it’s the tainted kool-aid causing the problem.

That's a valid point that the majority of immigrants are better people and better Americans than the people who stormed the Capitol that day.

Perhaps the “majority of immigrants” to which you refer were just pre-occupied with other matters the deemed to be much more important. I would think any immigrant in the US illegally would want to avoid Capital police ….. unless the Capital police are refusing to work with ICE on matters of illegal immigration.

It probably doesn't help to get into hypotheticals since it's just too far fetched to think about any other group of people storming the Capitol like that.

If it's partisan to condemn people trying to stop the peaceful transfer of power after their preferred candidate lost a fair election, and then lost decidedly in his court challenges, then I guess I'm just the one being partisan and you're the objective straight shooter.

 

We've seen precisely how they would normally react to an event like the January 6th, look no further to how much bellyaching and crying they were doing over the BLM protests in summer 2020.

 

Well, first, when a sentence is ended with question mark, that sentence is a question? So generally, the proper intelligent response to a question is called an answer. This sentence ends with a period, is usually called a response and is considered a statement.

So help you out here, one of my questions can be expanded as follows:

Let’s say you and several friends are at dinner ….. enjoying your favorite Jamaican Jerk vegan restaurant. One wonders if during your discussion over pre-dinner wine coolers, if you spend any brain power discussing the Jan 6th incident, especially rationalizing why it is an “insurrection” versus just a “riot”. Then, one wonders if you hear, during you meal of vegan jerk goat if you overhear other patrons discussing the Jan 6th incident …… if if you trans-woman illegal immigrant Honduran server engages you in a discussion of the Jan 6th incident.
