Trust the Plan and QAnon

So reading this book now by Will Sommer. So far it's covered mostly familiar ground although it's good to see it put together. But my God are these people stupid and dangerous. It's scary to take the bear out there and reproducing. I know we all harbor some illogical beliefs, but try to attack other based upon what should be obviously insane beliefs is just outlandish.

This one from a Comey tweet that caused the canceling of the school fundraiser it's just maddening. Society would be better if these people never existed.

On April 27, Comey sent out a tweet as part of a popular twitter game, “Five Jobs I’ve Had.” But then, a conspiracy theorist took Comey’s tweet, isolated random letters and threaded them together to suggest “Five Jihad(s)” involving “Grass Valley Charter School Foundation.”


Foundation President Wendy Willoughby called it a horrible discovery.

“It was everything from Comey and his people were going to come and kidnap our children to there was going to be a mass shooting,” she said.

I realize that many adherents obviously succeed other areas in life that require some minimal mental functioning. So they must be mentally capable. Elon Musk believes a lot of really stupid stupid stuff. But it's just mind blowing how stupid these beliefs are.

 

Speaking of the same, I see what is trending on twitter. It's hard for me to believe that these two Biden entries are not bizarrely stupid conspiracy theories. I don't intend to click on them to find out

 

At least that belief is crazy but relatively harmless. Shutting down an elementary school fundraiser because you think there's going to be a terrorist attack because of a Comey tweet, or literally harassing people to where they're unsafe because of your insane beliefs about them, it's just an excusable
