Judge Aileen Cannon rebuffs Trump’s call for trial delay in classified documents case — for now Judge Aileen Cannon rebuffs Trump’s call for trial delay in classified documents case — for now Donald Trump’s trial on charges that he hoarded classified military secrets at his Mar-a-Lago estate will remain scheduled for May 20, the federal judge overseeing the case ruled Friday, rejecting for now demands by the former president to postpone the case until after the presidential election next November. But in a nine-page order, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon said she would revisit the trial schedule in March, after Trump and prosecutors working for special counsel Jack Smith have more time to hash out complicated disputes over Trump and his co-defendants’ access to the reams of classified material at the heart of the case. It looks like Trump is using Cannon to temporarily retain the Florida trial date to block the Atlanta case from being set. And when they get near the trail, Cannon will then extend the trial, blocking Atlanta from moving forward. The legal strategy is brilliant, when you think about it objectively.
...and it will probably work. Delay it until after the election and if he wins, it all goes away. Atlanta is not going to put a sitting potus on trial.
Echos from the horrible past. I have no words for trump. This is who is is. But my mind wanders to those that still support this person and these ideas. Anti-American ideas.
Absolutely beyond the pale. I'm really curious how Trump supporters react. 1. Ah, he's just kidding to rile up the Libs. I love how he does that. 2. Wow, that goes way too far. That's disgustingly anti-American on every level. I'm done with him! 3. He's absolutely right. We've got to use the government to get them! I'm guessing 1 and 3.
Screw that democracy, we ain't leaving. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...p-georgia-case-videos-overturn-2020-election/

Trump is so poor now after being sued by every woman in Manhattan for sexual assault that he has resorted to making his own bed, according to a federal judge. Rumors indicate that he is thinking about making his own breakfast, and making potty without an assistant. The judge put Trump "on notice" if he talks any further about making potty during the trial. Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere in the thread. Trump wanted the fans at his Jan. 6th speech to have guns, and was upset that the Secret Service was going to restrict their access to his speech. He recommended that the SS take away their magazines, but let them keep their guns. He wanted armed people to go into the Capitol to "fight for their rights".
