You can bet your you know what that if the MAGA/Trump camp can "grease" palms to motivate those to stay silent or outright lie, they will do so. I'm just hoping watchdogs catch them in the act.

Of course Trumps fate will reside with the Supreme Court.
Look for that bastion of integrity, headed by Clarence the clown Thomas, to be flying around in his new "Gulf-Stream" to his various luxury villas with Trump in tow, after Trump is exonerated. Compliments of the MAGA led GOP.

Trump ... the guy who says he's being treated unfairly ... that it's political motivated ... that former presidents and current canidates should be above the law ... is back at it ... threatening to lock up his enemies like this is some third world dictatorship if he gets back in the White House. Note that he doesn't mention any crimes they committed, just said he should lock them up because "they do it us" ...

'No One Is Above The Law': Republican Group Hits Trump Hard In Damning Fox News Ad (msn.com)

Aconservative group opposed to Donald Trump is putting the former president on blast in a new ad demanding “consequences” for his misdeeds in the White House.

The spot from the Republican Accountability Project, which will run on Fox News in several markets, points out that Trump’s constant lies had many people saying in frustration that “nothing matters.”
    ....................................
But the voiceover states it’s not true that nothing matters.

“Because in America, the rule of law still matters,” the voice states. “And that’s why Donald Trump has been charged with 91 felonies in four separate cases for attempting to steal an election, falsifying business records and mishandling classified information.”

and they ran one against him using his own words

Republican Group Taunts Trump With His Own Damning Words In Fox News Ad | HuffPost Latest News

A Republican group opposed to Donald Trump will run a new ad on Fox News and CNN this week in which an unexpected figure makes the legal case against the former president: Trump himself.

The new ad from the Republican Accountability Project highlights old comments from Trump on the importance of classified documents as he accused 2016 election rival Hillary Clinton of mishandling sensitive materials.

“I’m going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information,” he said in a clip from a 2016 rally. In a clip from 2020, he said people “go to jail for that.”

Now, Trump stands accused of doing exactly what he spoke out against, not only allegedly keeping classified documents but doing so in sloppy conditions. One photograph shows boxes of documents piled up near a toilet at his Mar-a-Lago resort. “It’s time to hold Trump to Trump’s own standard,” the voiceover in the ad states:

Kemp seems to oppose. Don't know if this law can be implemented by a legislative committee alone or requires the Governor's signature. We will see

John Eastman, who's taken the fifth several times, just confessed on Fox News after a sharp grilling by prosecutor Laura Ingraham.

Even she wasn't buying his bullshit.

I guess Trump is learning that Karma is bitch. Let's not forget that in the 2022 Republican primary Trump backed David Perdue who was running against Brian Kemp for the gubernatorial nomination.

Mugshots belong to the sheriffs office. That $7M that Trump raised selling merchandise should be headed to Fulton county before it is all said and done

Donald Trump's Mug Shot Merchandise Move May Cost Him His $7 Million Profit

According to Politico, Donald Trump earned over $7 million in sales, from t-shirts to the “Never Surrender” coffee mugs, in the first week after he was indicted in the Georgia election interference case. However, a 2022 article in the University of Georgia School of Law’s Journal of Intellectual Property Law noted, “In the context of photographs taken by law enforcement during the booking process, the author of the mugshot photograph is the law enforcement agency.”

That could mean that if the Fulton County sheriff wants to go after Donald Trump for those profits, he might have the legal ground to do so. And as MSNBC pointed out, Fulton County “just happens to be in desperate need of funds to address the horrific conditions in the Fulton County Jail.” It could be the perfect storm of legal events for the former president, who is already in enough hot water.

    MSN

Grisham, who worked as a press secretary under the Trump administration, told MSNBC that she saw the former president “show documents to people at Mar-a-Lago on the dining room patio.”
    ........
Grisham went further, as she told the MSNBC host, “I watched him show documents to people at Mar-a-Lago on the dining room patio. So he has no respect for classified information. Never did.

Federal judge rules Trump liable for defamation in 2nd E Jean Carroll case, must go to trial for damages

Former President Trump faced another legal setback Wednesday, with a federal judge ruling that he is liable for damages in another lawsuit from writer E. Jean Carroll.

Carroll successfully sued Trump for defamation earlier this year, and Judge Lewis Kaplan ruled on Wednesday that her victory in that lawsuit will carry over to her lawsuit relating to Trump's 2019 statements about Carroll.

"The truth or falsity of Mr Trump’s 2019 statements therefore depends – like the truth or falsity of his 2022 statement – on whether Ms Carroll lied about Mr Trump sexually assaulting her. The jury’s finding that she did not therefore is binding in this case and precludes Mr Trump from contesting the falsity of his 2019 statements," the judge ruled.

Kaplan scheduled Trump's damages trial for Jan. 15 of next year.

This just in: Trump's lawyers will not be able to sever their Georgia cases from the rest of the RICO defendants. Speedy trial starts 10/23.

Mar-a-Lago worker struck cooperation deal with prosecutors in Trump documents case, ex-lawyer says (msn.com)

    Ut oh ...

One of Trump's IT managers from Mar-A-Lago flipped, recanted his story, and provided incriminating testimony. This is another guy who was initially represented by a lawyer that Trump hired for him. Like Nauta, he fired Trump's lawyer, got his own lawyer, and changed his story. Then made a deal to avoid prosecution. This is mostly likely related to destruction of evidence, the security footage, IMO.

Intended hyperbolic mockery ends up describing reality. Kevin Drum quotes MTG's tweet

It has become evident that there is a vast amount of people in previous administrations, this administration, and federal agencies that all worked diligently to cover up unbelievable corruption and crimes committed by the Biden’s and Joe himself.

We need a very tedious impeachment inquiry that allows us to take a deep dive to uncover the traitors within that conspired together, not only to keep a criminal VP in office, but then work to propel him to highest office in the land....

Patience will be the virtue that will lead us to the traitors within.

Said it in a number of other posts, if Donald Trump is elected again he will almost certainly do what he and his Republican sycophants have accused Biden of doing, i.e. "weaponizing" the federal government against his enemies both real and perceived and let's not forget what he did with the IRS when he was in office.

If he is elected you can expect similar behavior only this time on steroids.

Surprised this hasn't come up on this forum since this ruling late last week. Maybe understandable given how the legal experts here have been working over-time. If Meadows can't get his case kicked to federal court, what does this bode for everyone else, especially Trump?

Judge refuses to move prosecution of Mark Meadows to federal court
