Trump has asked for an April 2026 trial date in the January 6 trial. Hah! Absolutely no credibility.

Of course he needs 2.5 years to prepare his defense. All of these charges are so new - no way he could’ve known what was coming. It’s not like there was a Jan 6 Committee that thoroughly investigated the matter, or over 100 lawsuits over the matter, or daily media coverage for three years. It’s not like there was a $750 million defamation lawsuit fought in the courts using every avenue of discovery over the issues. How could he have known? How could he prepare a case in less than 2.5 years?!?!?!

Where is said office? I’m not aware of such a thing. DHS has election security but it solely provides support to states in their election integrity. There’s DOJ election crimes division. There’s the FEC but that’s federal campaign finance. The building has an Election Administration office, but that, again, is purely election support. I’m not saying that the federal government doesn’t have an interest in ensuring the validity of federal elections and state elections being in conformity with the constitution, but I don’t know what office you are speaking of.

standard practice 101, tell the defendant to stfu

re that other thread about him going to prison:
    1. I will believe it when it see it
    2. his priveleged orange ass will get some kind of house arrest if he is convicted on any of the 91 charges.
    3. He will whine until the day he dies about being the victim and his base will lap that up and send him money. Someday we MAY get back some semblance of a republican party ( we need that) instead of this cult we have now.

His election interference defense is a joke.

Imagine for a minute that Elon Musk gets sick of his current wife but doesn't want to give her even a dime of his money. So he shoots her and buries her on his palatial estate.

As people begin to wonder where she is, he files to run for president. He then announces that any speculation or investigation about his wife is election interference.

He then doesn't do crap to campaign just sends out some messages on Xitter now and then and spends the money to meet all the minimum requirements of a candidate. After 2024, he immediately files for 2028. Rinse, repeat.

New sealed case filed by Agent Smith in DC. Most likely 2nd classified doc case to cut Judge Cannon’s legs from under her if she goes rogue. At best she’s incompetent and worst she’s on the payroll.

There was another thread speculating Trump will die in prison (closed VERY UNFAIR!). No one complains if we speculate if any one else will die in prison, but I digress. I on the other hand I like to speculate that he will spend a 1000 year sentence in prison. I’m compassionate like that…

The latest Trump/Fox News lie is the Jan 6th Commission destroyed their records and evidence ... not sure why Trump that would hurt him, since it was a massive collection of evidence against him ... but ... nevertheless ...

    upload_2023-8-18_15-6-18.png

Of course, that's a lie, and Liz Cheney responded by posting a completely public link to site that hosts the 800 page report and hundreds of links to videos, transcripts, court records, and other documents and files that support their findings ....

Once again demonstrating that there is no truth in Truth Social although the mindless sheep-like followers of the deranged former president will believe everything coming out of his mouth or typed with the fingers of his small hands.

Of course it isn't true. What a moron Trump is!

He has been attacking the committee and the Republican witnesses even though he admitted in his truth social post that never read a word of what any witness said.

Just like his base and the posters here!

Just call the Committee biased and ignore the testimony from all those GOP witnesses-- many of whom were in his administration for years.

Trump should educate himself and join GC. @ajoseph has been posting the link to these materials for a long time.

He can't subpoena Congress anyway. And, the Committee was disbanded by the GOP when it took control of Congress.

And, all the witnesses and evidence the Committee had-- the grand jury heard from them and more people.

He is complaining that he has received too much material.

Seems kind of iffy, no time or platform or channel announced yet.

"Former president Donald Trump intends to skip the first Republican presidential primary debate in Milwaukee on Wednesday and instead plans to post a prerecorded interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that will be released that night, according to a person briefed on the matter."

So much for that defense (not that it had a chance of working anyway)

That was 20 lies ago about the docs, though. He's landed on the PRA giving him the right to have them as his Alamo.

One of the few times I actually agree with Meatball Ron although it's a little too late and considering that Republican primary voters are like members of a cult who worship their Dear Leader it will most likely backfire. For the umpteenth time the only question regarding Ron DeSantis is will he be a Scott Walker and drop out before the first primary or a Jeb Bush and drop out after he is humiliated in the early primaries?
