    Trump, Macho Macho Victim

"In a Maryland suburb I covered long ago, a fire chief and his deputy were accused of arson. “Firefighter arson” is actually a term, with its own Wikipedia entry, because it happens more often than you might think."

"That’s what Trump sounded like, in his announcement speech, when he said he would “bring back honesty, confidence, and trust in our elections.” The arsonist seeking a job as a firefighter. He is the liar and con man who undermined confidence in our elections. All that baloney about rigged voting has only hurt Republican participation and swung independents and even some Republicans who were sick of Trump to Democrats. But he doesn’t care, so long as he can deflect the blame for his loss."

I see the logic here and being concerned with public perception figured heavily into it.

SCOTUS just ruled unanimously that Trumps personal tax returns MUST be turned over to the house select committee. Long over due. I notice that his He almost ran out the clock but I notice that that’s starting not to work for him. He’s coming to a point where he’s exhausted his chances to weasel his way out of jams via appeals.

Looks like Trump got used to get a conservative majority, and they aren’t willing to play ball in return..

USSC denies Trump's request to with hold his tax records from congress. Obviously a bunch of radical leftist communist democrat america hating pedophiles. Even the ones he appointed. Go figure.

is it wrong if I enjoy DT turning on the pub party as it sits (MAGA light) and helping to burn it to the ground?

I feel exactly the same way. As long as the party was able to benefit from the MAGA types that Trump brought into the party the leadership of the Republican Party which almost certainly knew that he was an unhinged narcissist continued to enable him and did so even after he denied the reality of his defeat in 2020 and led what was fortunately a failed attempted coup d'état. It finally dawned on them after he turned what should have been a wave election into one which resulted in a bare Republican majority in the House and continuing Democratic control of the Senate which should have flipped to the Republicans. Whether or not he is the party's nominee in 2024 Trump will most likely go out only after he leads the party to a defeat in the next presidential election with the very possible result of Trump's legacy being a Democrat in the White House and Democratic majorities of both Houses of Congress.

Timing is the rub here. A gop house won't give two damns about looking at his tax records. The lame duck session won't have time. Much ado about nothing.

Yep. The USSC can look impartial and it may not matter. Either way, its actually best for their interests to do this now

Well that would be the fault of Biden's Treasury Department then.

However, I believe I had heard that the House already had possession for awhile but were waiting for the outcome of the appeals.

Also today, the 11th Circuit hammered Trump's attorneys over the validity of dark money Judge Cannon's documents rulings including the Special Master. They are poised to wipe that nonsensical ruling of hers away pretty quickly.

In that same hearing one of trumps clown show lawyers called the retrieval of the purloined top secret docs as a”raid”. The judge immediately interrupted and asked if he really meant to characterize the lawful search as a raid.

    He quickly corrected the record.

More gems from the chief judge

“The entire premise of the exercise on this extraordinary kind of jurisdiction would be that the seizure itself is unlawful. And if you can’t establish that, then what are we doing here”.

    Indeed.

    Yawn.

Trump's been "going to jail" since 2016. A 4 year term as president, a comical Dossier, 2 impeachments and a so called "insurrection" later and yet....Trump is running for President again.

Keep focusing on Trump, show all the polls and talk about all of the devoted "Trumpers"....Democrats must stop Trump.

However, pay no attention to Ron DeSantis please.
