Yeah I read all the allegations. Basically threatening his boss (Barr) for his job. I don’t think I knew about any of that. Pretty crazy.

Jesse Waters on Fox News just said Biden admin doesn’t know what it’s done here because the indictment allows Trump to re-litigate the election in federal court with subpoena powers and that this is exactly what Trump has been dying to do for two and half years. Not a parody.

Filing this indictment first is symbolic to me as it gets to one of if not the greatest affronts in our nation’s history to our constitutional order. The message is clear: YOU DO NOT SEEK TO OVERTURN AN ELECTION IN A DEMOCRACY!

That idiot Watters also said something like, "Hey, you have the other electors around and if it goes differently, who knows?"

Yeah, that is a crime and what this whole plot was about.

They will be along shortly with all their defenses of Trump that ignore every fact in the indictments.

Gosh. If only Fox had thought about that subpoena tool in their tiny little defamation case, where truth of the election lies was at issue. I guess they couldn’t afford smart enough lawyers ….

Very little of the indictment is the dominion claim. It mainly focuses on the fake electors. And it doesn’t matter whether there was election fraud when Congress was certifying the election. The attempt to submit fake electors was criminal fraud because those electors were not certified by the states. A long time ago in one of these threads, I said that the fake electors would be charged and it is at the core of the indictment

The January 6 Committee report lays most of this out in detail. More so than the indictment. It is worth reading if you want to know the details.

The J6 committee deserves acknowledgment here. Without what their investigation uncovered this indictment might not have happened. They pretty much forced DOJ’s hand.

I agree with calls being made that the trial for this latest indictment should be televised. Let the American people hear the testimony and see the evidence themselves, unfiltered. No sketch artist stuff, no second hand accounts.

My point was different. It’s that Jesse Waters made an inane comment that Trump would re-litigate his election fraud claims to justify his actions. It was an inane comment because that has been relitigated ad nauseam, including by his own network.

    Very doubtful SCOTUS does it.
