Shouldn't be all that surprising. Trump's apparent strategy isn't dissimilar to that of other criminal organizations that provide attorneys for individuals lower down in the organization's hierarchy. Rather than actually representing their nominal clients their real function is the protection of the interests of whomever is paying their fees, in this case the Don of Mar-a-Lago. Reminds me of Cassidy Hutchinson who was advised to claim that she couldn't recall details of the events leading up to January 6th by her Trump-provided attorneys. After she retained her own counsel she provided very detailed testimony to the Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection.
I am not so sure this is entirely about obstruction. Money was solicited based on representations thst it would be used to pursue claims that the election was stolen. And they have developed evidence that the people easing the money knew that the election results were valor. It seems likely based on open slot e reporting that PAC money was been used to pay for attorneys instead of to pursue the election claims. These raises hornbook issues of wire fraud since tweets and emails were used to solicit the money. So, we should be careful making assumptions as to why these questions are being asked. Offers of complete immunity were made to this attorney for at least several of those clients, an offer that was never conveyed to some of them. Additionally, some of the fake electors are incriminating each other, yet she continues to represent them all. If these allegations are true, these are ethical violations of the absolute highest order. The GA DA is seeking her removal and these people will need new, conflict free counsel.
