are the russian troops or certain commanders tiring of being slaughtered. read elsewhere that Russian casualties are now int he 600k range or 67% of the prewar number of troops that Russia had.

Ukrainian Armed Forces discuss 'atypical behavior' of Russian army in Zaporizhzhia direction (msn.com)

According to him, this is noteworthy because the area is large, and it is clear that "the Russians have not disappeared from here," but there have been no assaults for three days, and today there is also no significant activity.

The spokesperson noted that Ukrainian troops will monitor the situation, as this behavior by the Russian troops is "atypical for the recent large period."

"Some activity, if it can be called that, continues in the Dnipro direction, where the enemy does not cease attempts to drive our units off the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. However, yesterday there was only one enemy assault on our positions near the village of Krynky," added Lykhoviy.

He noted that the enemy's assaults were unsuccessful, and there had been no loss of positions for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Trump is suspected of committing yet another felony: this time, a violation of the Logan Act. He has been lobbying Israel to avoid a cease-fire deal until after the U.S. election, because that will benefit Trump.

The Logan Act is toothless, unfortunately.

isn't there a mechanism where they can be punished for copyright infringement rather than keep telling them to quit?

Beyoncé hits Trump team with cease-and-desist warning: report - Alternet.org

A day after Donald Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung posted a video of the ex-president exiting a plane for his Michigan rally Tuesday night, Rolling Stone reports that Beyoncé has hit the MAGA team with a cease-and-desist for using the superstar's popular song, "Freedom."

Per the report, "A source close to Beyoncé tells Rolling Stone that the Trump campaign did not receive permission to use the Lemonade track in the 13-second video" Cheung posted via X.

'Treason': Trump may have committed a 'massive crime' in call to foreign leader (msn.com)

Former President Donald Trump may have called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss a potential ceasefire deal with Hamas that President Joe Biden's administration is currently negotiating. Now, experts are saying Trump may have committed a felony.

Newsweek reported that two anonymous "U.S. sources who were briefed on the call" confirmed to Axios that Trump spoke with Netanyahu. And according to the New Republic and PBS, the former president reportedly urged Netanyahu to reject the deal currently on the table. The Israeli prime minister's office has denied reports that Trump spoke with him, and the Trump campaign hasn't publicly commented on whether the call actually took place.

If there is evidence of this, it would be very bad.

Along with the evidence that he refused to return classified documents and conspired to keep them away from the government. And the evidence that he conspired to overturn an election. Like the evidence that he personally tried to coerce an ally. Etc., etc., etc. And all the evidence that he used the power of the federal government to enrich himself.

Who are we kidding? This won't matter any more than anything else. Trump is allowed to commit crimes. Why? Who knows for sure - seems like because there are a sufficient number of traitors currently empowered in this country.

    Evidence. LOL.

Seems like Trump is taking a page out of Nixon's book.

Hopefully, Harris (or the debate moderator) points this example of treason out to Trump during his public flogging--er--debate.

Similar, but as an individual act Nixon’s crime was far worse considering our boys were actively dying over there while he was playing self-interest political games. U.S. soldiers lives were lost to this. Thousands of them. Nixon’s meddling in peace talks bordered on Treason/death penalty.

Trump is definitely cut from that same cloth. The difference with Nixon is nobody knew of his meddling at the time or even as he left office in disgrace over Watergate (it may have been rumor, but a lot of the memos and official accounts were kept hidden for decades). With Trump, there are several well known instances of him putting self interest above national interest (“Russia are you listening”, Ukraine scandal, Covid manipulation, blowing up the border deal… and if true this attempted sabotage of peace talks). Those are just the blatant instances the public knows about (mostly because of Trumps antics typically being public). I’m sure there’s worse stuff and damning evidence that, similar to Nixon re: Vietnam, is being held as classified. Look at all the tentacles to the 1/6 conspiracy where Trump was quite active at conspiring behind the scenes (not merely just making crazy claims at press conferences).

There is no republican party. It's just a cult of personality so that's what they are running against while spending the vast majority of their time talking about opportunity and vision for the future. You should watch the convention, its been very good.

They don't even pretend not to be criminals any more.

Trump Hosting Fundraiser For Domestic Terrorists Who Assaulted Cops On Jan. 6

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump is hosting a fundraiser for domestic terrorists convicted of assaulting police officers, and some defendants still facing those charges, as part of his Jan. 6, 2021, coup attempt to remain in power.

The event is to take place on Sept. 5 at his country club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and is being staged by The America Project, a pro-Trump nonprofit based in Florida that is calling the reception and dinner “the J6 Awards Gala.”

A video promoting the event features clips of Trump praising those who are being prosecuted for taking part in the Capitol assault. “They ought to release the J6 hostages. They’ve suffered enough,” Trump says in the video from one of his campaign speeches. “I call them hostages. Some people call them prisoners. I call them hostages.”

Man, Maga really is anti-police. Not the R party I grew up in.

This is a celebration of people who were convicted of assaulting police. I just can't wrap my brain around that.

Pretty soon Trump will be flying his supporters to Jonestown with that sweet, sweet purple kool-aid reward.
