I wonder what’s going on with Dr. Phil. He recently went on Bill Maher to purportedly just talk to about the culture and not be political. Sure feels political. And what is he even talking about in this clip?

I wonder if Trump has registered as a felon yet with the Sheriff of Palm Beach County. He had 48 hours to do so upon entering the county pursuant to Florida Statute 775.13. He should be charged with a misdemeanor if he didn't.

He's not a felon and he didn't lose the election. Just ask him.
Who would file charges? Are these normally ancillary charges?

Do these often get charged as a primary offense?

At least in Hillsborough County, the sex offenders are monitored pretty closely. They must update changes in address and must report every periodically.
Charges for them failing to do so is common and their charges are felonies. I know the felons are also prosecuted, but I don't have a good feel for how frequently as their charges are generally misdemeanors and the vast bulk of my cases are in felony court.

so Thomas suggests that djt should appeal the authority of the special counsel and now judge Cannon is allowing "friends of the court" to come make special presentations during the hearing, two for immunity, one against...

    at what point....?

Judge Aileen Cannon tosses another curveball in the Trump cases (msn.com)
A fleeting question Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas posed to Donald Trump’s lawyer during oral arguments in the Trump immunity case in late April may have been a harbinger. “Did you, in this litigation, challenge the appointment of special counsel?” Thomas asked.

The question seemed odd, given that Thomas would have been familiar with the issues before the court — issues that didn’t include the legality of special counsel Jack Smith’s appointment. Justices ask questions for a variety of reasons, but some read this one as Thomas’s volunteering a potential argument for the Trump team, which was claiming that the former president had immunity from prosecution in the Jan. 6 case involving efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Fast forward a bit more than a month, and the issue Thomas broached is suddenly being treated seriously and extraordinarily by U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon in the other case Smith has brought, which involves Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents and obstructing efforts to retrieve them. She previously scheduled a hearing on the subject for June 21, and she signaled Tuesday that it would be a substantial hearing featuring outside experts making arguments. That’s a rare occurrence.

The decision at the very least marks yet another successful delay tactic from the Trump team — tactics Cannon has been more than willing to entertain. She’s taking up the issue even after other courts have heard and rejected such claims before, with regard to Russia investigation special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

But the effort also gets at a long-standing Republican campaign to question the legality of special counsels. And while those efforts have previously failed, some fear they could loom over efforts to hold Trump accountable, regardless of when the federal trials might be held. (The trials are unlikely to take place before Election Day but could still imperil Trump if he loses.)

Hey. For too long judges have resorted to ruling in matters before them. Maybe things got boring for them. Maybe the pay feel it’s time for them to openly advocate.

Here's Trump pretending a concert in Ocala was actually a Trump rally.

This is just beyond comedy. Unfortunately also: our nation is doomed.

Former President Trump defended his supporters who rioted at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and called them “warriors” at a Nevada rally on Sunday.

“Those J6 warriors – they were warriors – but they were really, more than anything else, they’re victims of what happened,” Trump said at the rally, speaking to a crowd of supporters.

Not really part of this troubles but he gets surprisingly strategic in Nevada, endorsing the more moderate GOP candidate rather than MAGA. That makes it harder for Jacky Rosen to hold her seat but hopefully means a less extreme candidate that is actually loyal to the United States if the Republican gets elected

Don't we know better than that by now?

Even the moderate Republicans are in service to, or minimally dead silent about, the criminality of Trump. Complicit.

Good point. They all usually submit. But the crazies lead, collude with foreign powers and insurrectionists, and are louder about it

The presumptive Republican nominee for the presidency of the US, Convict donald trump had to check in with his probation officer today.
Meanwhile, his opponent in the race, is preparing to travel to meet with European allies ( in a country where trump is prohibited from being).

Technically not his probation officer, but a probation officer charged with preparing Trump's Pre Sentence Report (PSI or pre sentence investigation in Florida) which the judge will consider when sentencing him.

I have not watched yet, but this showed typically has the most biting satire of current events with some parallels. I'm expecting that that's what this is going to be. Can't wait
