Republicans Against Trump are really Democrats posing as Republicans. They are mocked daily on Twitter.

Well, you first have to understand that Indiana is an open primary state. Second, tons of democrats crossed over to vote for Nikki Haley.

Me? I don't like open primary states for this very reason. It should be each party to their own.

Ok, I just listened to that 56 second clip to see what he had to say. He said nothing. What is it that you think he said that “sees it differently” than I do? He talked about how she looked, he didn’t talk at all about the testimony, the objections, the curative instructions, or really anything other than how she looked.

Yep, that was a head scratcher. Whatever point he thought was being made, wasn't.

I was curious how another talking head lawyer saw the case. We all know that lawyers see things differently and aren’t shy about telling others their thoughts (I’m guilty). And now I regret my own curiosity.

The results have not been different in closed primary states.

Haley received over 158,000 votes in Pennsylvania's closed Republican primary. Considering that she has absolutely no chance of winning the nomination and hasn't actively campaigned in months that doesn't bode well for Trump in a swing state in which the election may be decided by less than 100,000 votes. Even if only half of those voters end up voting for Biden, it's not good news for the former president. Haley also received 19% of the vote in Arizona's closed Republican primary, again another swing state in which the margin may be in the thousands rather than the hundreds of thousands.

The defense has had a bad day so far. Probably on Trump's urging, they have tried to go after Stormy like they did E. Jean Carroll. She was ready for it and has been right on point with her replies.

This ain't the 1950s. Trying to paint women as dirty whores regardless of their occupations doesn't set well with juries.

I think many people just didn’t want to have to say they voted for Trump. The primaries have them that “out,” as it was already decided.

It in the general election, a choice needs to be made- Trump, Biden or independent/no vote. I fear the vast majority of the Haley primary voters will drop to Trump by default.

I disagree. They will likely do what a lot of republicans did in 2020 and leave the top line blank. 30,000 voters did this in Georgia.

OH, I’m sure that must be it. Those dastardly Democrats.
And the reasons this has occurred in closed primary states are…….

I agree based upon Anna Bower's Twitter summaries. The more effective DT attorney, Susan Necheles, performed cross. Thought she would be more effective.

One tweet that I cannot now find still has me thinking. It was yesterday during direct. I will paraphrase. It was when Stormy testified words to the effect about Trump coming back out in his boxers, and her thinking "how did read this situation so wrong"

The reporter said that the men in the spillover room laughed, as if her testimony that she was surprised was absurd and unbelievable, while the women all nodded knowingly.

    Still thinking about that

It's sarcasm. The guy is speaking glowingly about a porn star. He shared that she dressed with the modesty of a nun, and her make-up was minimal like the other moms in the neighborhood might look when grocery shopping. Come on... that's funny stuff right there. SNL is gonna run with this one.

I don’t think she took anything upon herself. The prosecution knows that jurors don’t “unhear” something just because the judge days to disregard. Let’s be real here. This was no off script moment where poor Stormy got overwhelmed by her emotions. The prosecution encouraged and/or just allowed this to happen and go on.

If this case were about anything other than getting Trump out of the election he would have just paid his fine and moved on just like the other 90+% of politicians who use payments and NDAs to keep things quiet. Hell, I know several non-politicians who have used them to protect their company’s reputation after a “legal issue” (IE ambulance chaser (avenatti) brings forward skank( Stormy) with accusations that cannot be proven or disproven. Ambulance chaser and skank want $, company or business wants it to never get loud and go away.

Generally agree - this happens but in this case the trump campaign approached her in the person of D Pecker after he heard she was shopping her story.
