Trump "Truth"-ed today that the police should be pulled away from his courthouse and sent to Columbia to protect protesters. Obviously what he really wants is for MAGAts to be able to storm the courthouse and threaten or harm people.
I can see the headline after cross-exam: Defense attorneys pound Pecker in desperate attempt to get Trump off.
David Pecker once thought about legally changing his name. He wanted to change it to David Dick. But his wife told him, "You're a prick any way you look at it."
Is there anyone on here that doesn’t expect a guilty verdict ? I’ll bet my UCF tickets they find him guilty.
It will either be guilty or a hung jury. There is no way 12 people would vote to acquit him, but the possibility exists a closet Trumper sneaked by the jury selection process. It only takes one to hang the jury.
agree. But it takes a pretty strong person to withstand 11 others. My bet is quick guilty. Then the show starts.
Looks like has been successful in getting all the other trials delayed enough to go past the election. He wins in November, he skates and he knows it. He can make the federal cases go away and Fulton Co is not putting a sitting potus on trial. If he loses in November, that is another matter regarding all the remaining cases.
I really hope in the case of a guilty verdict, the judge, jury, prosecutors, court staff are all kept safe. In reality, I'm sure their names, email addresses, home addresses, names of family members will all be publicized so the maga mob can go after them.
Except we're not talking about an individual with a genuine abiding belief Trump is innocent. We're talking about a fanatic willing to do whatever it takes.
I’m going to guess that the attorneys were able to snuff out the die hard MAGA types. Those types don’t keep their political views a secret and are likely all over social media for all to see.
Cracking the Shell: Trump and the Corrupting Potential of Furtive Russian Money What an informative (and long) piece. It did a great job of cobbling together trump’s long history of shady dealings with Russians from a number of investigations. Thanks for posting.
His only hope is they choose the lesser misdemeanor charge but with Pecker testifying that they agreed on the scheme and the reason for it, I don't know how they can unless they just dismiss his testimony
Trump Faces 'Dynamite Evidence' From Potential Witness: Ex-Special Counsel (msn.com) Pecker, the chair of AMI, the parent company of the National Enquirer newspaper, is expected to testify that the Enquirer purchased the stories of people who had negative information about Trump and didn't publish them, as an aid to the president. Writing on X, formerly Twitter, Goodman noted that the case against Trump includes a meeting he had with Pecker in Trump Tower and again at the White House after he was elected. Goodman wrote that Pecker will give "likely dynamite evidence of nexus between hush money scheme and effort to influence election." .................. Goodman also posted an excerpt from Pecker's statement of agreed facts, in which he admitted to prosecutors that he met with Trump's attorney, Michael Cohen, in August, 2015. At the meeting, he told Cohen he would buy up the right to any scandal about Trump and never publish it. Pecker is expected to be called as the first witness after opening statements on Monday.
