America should let in people that make the country stronger.

Rich people. No murderers or major criminals. People with high IQ's.

Democrats like to do the opposite. We know what "fundamentally transform America" means. Increasing Democrat power while weakening America is something they are good with.

The happiest countries in the world happen to be the whitest countries (Google happiest countries). Look what happened to Europe because of their immigration policies. Many Brits want to flee to America. How white should America be considering that Western civilization arose from the genetic endowment of whites?

Too much diversity splits countries apart. Example: Yugoslavia split into 7 different countries when it's authoritarian gov't collapsed.

Some intellectuals believe we need high IQ Brahmins in order to compete long term with China and India. Others say the Brahmins would discriminate and oppress whites.

Truth is better than lies, ignorance or wishful thinking. Elon Musk thinks like me and he has Trump's ear. Whites are being murdered in Elon's native South Africa. He'll want to bring some of them here imo.

 

At first blush I like it….page outta Swiss book. About 15 years ago my wife & I were pursued for jobs in Bern with allegedly citizenship part of the deal which ain’t EZ to come by. It was not due to our wealth, of course. I love Bern, but it was not in the cards at the time.

 

The "gold card," plan sounds really merit-based, if you think money = intelligence.

Higher IQ people commit fewer violent crimes. Democrats like to say the people flooding the border have roughly the same criminality as the people who are already here. Since America is such a desirable place to live we should have been letting in no murderers and only people with super low rates of criminality. Letting rich people into the country will make the country stronger.

If every single person in the world with $5M+ moved to the US we could knock $25T off our national deficit. Of course that would leave many of them with nothing or close enough thereto.

 

I don’t think we’ll have to worry about that.

The problem with all this is that people with this type of money already have an easy path, and it didn’t cost them $5 million. I don’t think there will be a flood of people wanting to pay to move here if suddenly we are charging $5 million. Similar to tariffs, this is a tax (and an expensive one at that). This will decrease the desire of wealthy foreigners to pursue U.S. moves. Except maybe sanctioned oligarchs and organized crime bosses. Lemme guess, we’ll do what Russia does and shield them from extradition as part of the services rendered for that $5 mil.

One “positive” move would be PE backer to spend the $5m to bring a talent / founder to the US. Another positive could be a talent bidding process. Multiple companies could vying for a singular talent and could offer $5m gold card offer.

Of course the bad could be a terrorist organization or organized crime get someone into the US for $5m and cause trillions or damage to the country.

 

I actually have no issues with multiple pathways to the US. Asylum, talent, money, labor are all considerations that warrant immigration. It's not anti-ethical to America's DNA if we still have other pathways in. My fear is we shut down all immigration except for rich folks and that would be a disaster for the economy.
