so you say river - the left can always find someone who will say it just ain't true what the right is saying about illegals. It always makes me laugh. You know as well as I do that joey opened the border for millions of illegals- the admitted to number of illegals entering in the last 4 years is over 10 million, we all know it is probably double that. The fact that joey put put an executive order to lower the num ber this past June does nothing to mitigate the millions already here, and was merely an election year ploy. But if it makes you feel better, then have at it. It is like the cheating spouse who cheated for 3.5 years but now tells their other half, I have stopped and won't do it anymore. Hard to overcome those 3+ years of cheating.

LOL. When you look at how many illegals crossed in biden/harris regime compared to trumps regime the numbers are staggering. If you can't see that then there is no use discussing further.

How many migrants have crossed the US border illegally?

Since January 2021, when Joe Biden came to office, there have been more than 10 million encounters - about 8 million came over the southwest land border with Mexico.

Under the Trump administration, there were 2.4 million encounters on this border.

Criminal gangs and murderers won’t self deport. So if he added that line, it would effectively mean nothing.

Serious question. If on the other side there is someone with a gun to kill your children for not sending money, what would you do?

Edit: in fairness to my strawman, I will answer my own question: I would go as far north as possible and do my damn hardest to save my children.

I understand that her proposed policy with respect immigrants trying to cross the border illegally is to treat them like dogs.

I was talking about deportations. Why claim they haven’t been happening when they have?

LOL. You let in 10-20 million and deport a million and you think that's a good thing? That's like have a huge hole in your boat and you are using a cup to get the water out. It's just not going to make much of a difference. Can you not see that? Hell, Obama deported almost 5 million people when he was President.

slo, there is always going to be the exception, and while I understand your sentiment, you cannot govern based upon the exception.

yes there have been some, but the volume of illegals let in is huge vs your exception. This is what I have always called feel goodism.

Apparently the Trump Administration is going to start its mass deportation by pursuing the right policy, deporting those illegals who have actually committed real crimes and those already subject to orders of deportation. The question is how long will it before the Donald, Tom Homan and Stephen Miller start deporting immigrants whose only "crime" is their illegal presence in the country and are employed at productive jobs and without regard to whether they have citizen or legal immigrant spouses and children?

Exception? This is what almost all of them are fleeing. Gang violence and government persecution. It isn’t an “exception” that just a few are escaping.

That’s sort of the crux of the issue with asylum, almost all would have valid “asylum” claims based on the standards, but obviously we can’t grant asylum to every single person around the world who lives under a failed government. Although we should grant a lot more considering how many jobs are filled by so-called illegals.

Even if this was accurate, which it's not, what part of it's not our problem don't you understand? It is incumbent upon the governments of those peoples to fix the crime and violence problem, not the United States taxpayer. And you could just as easily make that argument for an American fleeing to Norway, for example. There's lots of gang violence here as well. Norway would scoff at the plan, because it's on the American government to protect American citizens from harm, not Norway.

There's no way to spin around this. I was watching Jon Stewart last night and he had a segment mocking Democrats for all their anti-illegal immigration campaign ads. It's become such an undeniable problem that Democrats were forced to do their best Trump impersonations to have a chance to be elected. Whitewashing the issue is not going to work. Just accept that Biden/Harris screwed us with their open borders policy, catch and release of unvetted and undocumented asylum seekers. There's no easy solution to clean up the mess, so don't go demonizing the responsible ones when they attempt to clean it up.

Sure. I posted that 10 Million that we "know of". You that obtuse to think the unknowns aren't a large number also? Hell, we have lefty posters saying the wall doesn't work and post videos of people crossing without being encountered at all. It's just common sense, but I guess that is too much to ask from you...

By that measure, there have been more than 10.3 million “illegal entries” nationwide since fiscal year 2021, which began in October 2020, Edward Alden, a senior fellow who specializes in immigration policy at the Council on Foreign Relations, said in an email, citing border protection data.
