Columbia to use their Presidential plane to fly immigrants back. Interesting, Trump saving more money having Columbia come and get their illegal immigrants. :):):)

    performative cruelty

    Oh that’s rich

performative cruelty is making your criminal aliens fly back to the US because you didn’t like the plane they were in

Actually, illegal immigrants are a form of immigrant. So no, there isn't a difference.

And yes, handcuffing people for non-violent misdemeanors is largely performative.

I mean, you were just fantasizing about how cruel you could be to them for "the visuals." I don't think denying entry of planes is particularly cruel to the immigrants, who don't even want to be there, apparently.

If you view walking across the tarmac in a jumpsuit to board your home country’s presidential jet as cruelty…. Well I don’t know what to tell you. But please keep posting like that leading up to the next election.

If you want fantasizing…. we should have just landed in Quito and let them walk the rest of the way

The migrants being picked up by the Presidential jet aren't in the US. We both know why you wanted that "visual." You are just trying to cover because it makes you look emotional, petty, and...performative.

Maybe we could have put snakes on the plane. Or played Russian roulette on the plane.

Or maybe we could act like adults. That does seem a bit far fetched for Trumpers though.

They move around for the same reason most people move around: jobs and social connections. Generally, people don't move internally because of the President, since...you know, he is the President in both locations.

Or how disgusting it is that you believe it's wrong to remove someone who is here illegally. Especially considering that the illegals being removed right now are mostly criminals. So who lives in fantasy land?

What failure are you expecting? Same ones that never happened during his first term?

If you use gang activity as measure of worst areas, below is some relevant info.

and the more desperate the illegal immigrant is to stay here, the more likely to seek protection from the gang and the more likely to commit greater crimes to avoid arrest and deportation.. the whole nothing to lose thing

    Gangs by State 2024

    Gang Presence by State
While gang members and gang activity exist across the country, some states have a larger gang presence than others.

California, Nevada, Idaho, New Mexico, and Illinois have the most gang members for every 1,000 citizens of the state. Because California, Nevada, and Illinois have major cities, the amount of gang activity would be expected to be higher. New Mexico has been the focus of an FBI investigation of gang activity.

American gangs are responsible for about 48% of violent crimes in most jurisdictions. Major cities and suburban surroundings experience most gang activities, especially gang-related violent crimes.

Well, I was talking about a poster's fantasies of how we could get better "visuals." But, in general, law enforcement isn't supposed to handcuff people unless they pose a threat to personnel or to escaping. Any person on there with no history of violence shouldn't need to be handcuffed for long periods of time. The practice appears to be primarily performative to give certain other people some emotional satisfaction. Hilariously, it is making the whole process harder (US allies and even Trump allies in the region are coming out against it), but the point is primarily emotional rather than functional.
