I don’t think Trump is talking about the small business owners (like in this thread) when he talks about basement dwellers. I think he’s talking about the real trailer trash deplorables he has to court to win an election.

I would guess Trump thinks everyone that isn't him is a basement dweller.

Trump's description of his own supporters as "basement dwellers" is completely consistent with a comment Howard Stern who knows Trump personally made over eight years ago when Trump was running for the presidency the first time. Paraphrasing (not quoting verbatim) Stern's comments, "if one of Trump's MAGA hat wearing supporters tried to enter the grounds of Mar-a-Lago Trump would have security toss that person out immediately".

Not traitorous but apparently gullible. Paraphrasing Liz Cheney on why she's voting Democrat despite being a lifelong conservative Republican, bad policy can always be reversed, the election of Trump will do irreparable damage to the Republic. If you support conservative policies you can always vote the Democrat at the top of the ticket and conservative Republicans down ballot.

Then after getting manhandled by security and kicked off the property, the Trump supporter would blame the Deep State.

China and Russia know that Trump can be easily manipulated have been acting accordingly.
Why China Is Rooting for Trump
Trump praises ‘genius’ Putin for moving troops to eastern Ukraine
15 times Trump praised China as coronavirus was spreading across the globe
Trump did do a complete 180 and blamed China after it became apparent that he wasn't taking Covid seriously.

    Which policies are those?

    a) the policy to give corporations yuge tax breaks so they can pay executives millions more?

    b) the policy to try to buy Greenland?

    c) the policy to spend more government money than you take in, adding trillions to the national debt with little to show for it (except 54 miles of fence along the southern border)?

    d) the policy to not support Ukraine while complimenting Putin?

    e) the policy to offend our allies in Europe with presidential arrogance and threats?

    f) the policy to feed Americans horse pills and inject them with bleach if a contagious disease infects them?

    g) the policy to ignore global warming and its effects?

    h) the policy to not raise the minimum wage?

I actually thought this was some unique out of the box thinking by Trump. Many Americans thought it was "folly" to buy Alaska from the Russians back in 1867 for $7.2 million dollars. So look how that turned out.

My uncle would buy land that was around his farm in southwest Missouri, I would ask him why he was buying more land and his answer was: "they aren't making any more of it."

Buying Alaska for a song was easy because Russia (really nobody) knew there was gold and soon-to-be-valuable oil on the property. Nowadays, it is rare that almost everything about a large property is not known. Everyone knows that Greenland has great mineral wealth and borders on the Arctic Sea (potential oil drilling rights), for example. And, in general terms, countries tend to be proud of every square inch of land they can get their hands on (partly because of the potential for wealth that was illustrated by the sale of Alaska). Back then, Alaska was too remote to Moscow for it to hold much interest for the czars, unless gold would have been found there before the sale (the sale was 1867, and gold was found in 1896). The bigger the property, the less likely it is to be for sale, and Greenland is a large place. It would be one thing if Denmark had suggested that it might be for sale . . .

And, to top it off, the way Trump just spattered the thought to buy Greenland was, itself, a living caricature of how he thinks he acts (not to mention, Greenland wasn’t for “sale”).
